On Nov. 8, Donald Trump managed to pull the biggest upset in U.S. politics by tapping successfully into the anger of white voters and appealing to the lowest inclinations of people in a manner that would have probably impressed Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels himself. But what exactly does Trump's victory mean and what can one expect from this megalomaniac when he takes over the reins of power on Jan. 20, 2017? What is Trump's political ideology, if any and is "Trumpism" a movement? Will U.S. foreign policy be any different under a Trump administration? Some years ago, public intellectual Noam Chomsky warned that the political climate in the U.S. was ripe for the rise of an authoritarian figure. Now, he shares his thoughts on the aftermath of this election, the moribund state of the U.S. political system and why Trump is a real threat to the world and the planet in general.

That’s right noam, so STFU!
This is false on its face because if it were true Chomsky wouldn’t be around to say it.
We’re comin’ for you, commie!
Not in America they don't. In Europe, yeah, but all that means is Europe gets it wrong in both directions. Here, the farther "right" you go the closer to the Constitution you get. Unlike the rest of the planet, our government acknowledges preexisting rights. Totally screws up political analysts for the last 230 years. Unfortunately, it totally screws up half of Americans too.
Humanity teeters for lack of the grasp of knowledge right in its face - while it preens over its intelligence.
...is totally waaaaaaay worse than this:
Nazis
Communist China
Uganda
Armenian genocide
Talk about a bunch of deplorables. Can’t believe they lowered themselves to our level. LOL!
“wretched, ignorant, dangerous part-time clown and full-time sociopath”
That accurately describes the current and soon to be former occupant of the White House.
The GOP? Hardly.
The American People? Why yes, they are the enemy of your sort of crypto Facist wanna bes Noam.
The Chompster probably doesn’t realize he’s well past his sell-by date.
Chomsky is an anarchist if anything his socialism has strong libertarian strains. He has been a critic of liberalism. His work The Washington Connection and Third World Fascism actually included an interesting expose of the media as globalist corporate shills. But this attack on Trump doesn’t surprise me. The fact it is entirely rhetorical and hyperbolic shows him up as wanting to fuel his anarchist cadres out there.
Noam is “the last totalitarian.”

Never mind "public", can any one explain why Chomsky's regarded as "an intellectual"?
As near as I can figure, it was because he was a leftist against the Vietnam conflict, and supported murderous totalitarian regimes at the same time.
Yes, we are! So watch your step, Noamy. We own 45 state governments today - put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Little nose-picking bed-wetting chronic masturbator.
Noam Chompsky used to be one of the most dangerous propagandists on the planet.
We overcame that.
LOL - talk about hyperbole...
SEA LEVELS HAVE NOT RISEN ONE INCH IN THE PAST 40 YEARS. NOT ONE INCH... Noam's nuts.
That’s right, asshat, we ARE dangerous - to your entire liberal/progressive/globalist agenda!
Project much, Noam?
No Noam, the most dangerously place to be was as a passenger in a 1967 Oldsmobile Delmont 88, but perhaps it is a bridge too far for you to comprehend that...
