President-elect Donald Trump celebrated his status as a Washington outsider during his campaign for the presidency, but his lack of familiarity with the US government appears to be coming into view as he transitions to the White House.
During Trump's private meeting with President Barack Obama on Thursday, Trump "seemed surprised" by the scope of the president's responsibilities, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal.
Trump's aides were also apparently unaware that the entire staff of the president working in the White House's West Wing would need to be replaced, according to The Journal.

As far as I’m concerned, this is a good thing for Mr. Trump. The Kenyan thought the scope of the presidency was whatever the heck he wanted.
So was Obama, so he just ignored it.
What a dumb story. So Preibus, Pence, et. al., have no idea how the WH is run. Pathetic story by the crooked MSM.
Back in the day....
US auto part suppliers claimed that no way could the Japanese build sub assemblies at such a discounted price.
Then, the US companies learned they were doing so many tasks backwards.
The Japanese showed everyone lean manufacturing
Trump will show everyone lean Government
Does Trump have to order hundreds of FBI raw background files to create his own visitor clearance program?
Hey, maybe he is about the REDEFINE the president’s job, huh? Maybe it’s his crowning achievement that he isn’t yet aware of what all the job entails, huh? Maybe it’s what got him elected, huh? It’s part of being an outsider. Love it! K?
Yeah, Trump’s a moron.
That’s why he came out of nowhere to crush the
establishment of BOTH parties.
Cabinet Member Tom Kirkman was . . . .
Good lord, yes, anything to smear Donald Trump
Let’s put it this way, Yahoo. . . He was a lot more energetic and qualified given your hilLIARs campaign, and tenure as Do Nothing Senator and Benghazi Pay for Player SOS
They don’t call themselves “Yahoo” for nothing
I could smell the BS before I even opened the thread.
This is it! Trump has to replace the entire white house staff, so he will drop out now! He was never a serious candidate!
He’s already got 34000 people working for him. The 568 people at the white house is going to be the straw that broke the camel’s back!
Just as, I'm sure, was Barry when he visited W in 2008.
In Dick Cheney's words - "Clueless"
I doubt anyone except a former VP getting a promotion could know what all goes on in the president's office.
That’s the reason I look at the author’s I go everytime I read things like this. The photos tell all. That title says he’s a quack in the first degree. Speaking of degrees, I’d like to see his “degree” in holistic psychology. If he’s like a lot of them it’s almost as easy as signing up as minister for the Universal Life Church and claiming you’re a clergy member...
Yea right. Trying to make Trump and staff look incompetent
Trump needs to rein the sumbich in and bring his presidency back in line with Constitutional boundaries, REINSTATING a clear 'separation of powers' LIKE OUR FOREFATHERS HAD ORIGINALLY DEVISED: 1) Executive branch, 2) Legislative branch and 3) Judicial branch.
Trump has broad powers on immigration just as Oblama did and should use those powers FULL TILT AND NOT BE INTIMIDATED on fulfilling his campaign promises!
The only possible source of this report would be 0bama. We know 0bama lies about 99% of the time he speaks.
I don’t believe this report for a moment.
OTOH, I’m perfectly sure 0bama could handle putting up a building in NYC. Uh huh. Sure.
Darned it all. That Don’d Trump an’ his hick followers from Wisconsin and other rural parts jus’ had no idea jus’ how BEEG our gub’mint was. Well I declare, this might be jus’ too much gub’mint for our Donald to handle. I reckon he’s jus’ gonna have to cut it back some.
DON’T use obama as a guide to what and how the President should be.. He over used and illegally used his power to corrupt...
Trump will set his own pace and he’ll do just fine!! Trump .. is draining the swamp... and this country will be great again.
