During the height of the presidential campaign, with Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton at each others throats, Republican Sen. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire was asked during a debate whether she considers Trump a role model for kids.
Absolutely, I would do that, she said. A day later, she took it back, but the American people didnt. Instead, knowing the venom Trump spewed on the campaign trail about minorities and women, Americans still voted him into the highest office in the land.

9-11, Ft Hood, Boston Marathon, San Bernardino, Orlando, and on and on.
the hate speech i see is coming, primarily, from those opposed to Trump.
Hate speech like the mobs running around screaming “kill Trump” and “rape Melania” as they loot and burn?
I guess all the anti-white, anti-West of the last 8 years don’t count?
And “people have to die!”
“Instead, knowing the venom Trump spewed on the campaign trail about minorities and women”
typical leftist echo chamber projection
How can people still buy this newspaper?
Either something is a crime or it is not. Determining the perpetrator’s motive for committing the crime and saying the motive was bad (hate) is ridiculous. If it’s arson it’s arson, not hate-arson. Hate crimes are an extension of political correctness. We need to do away with “hate” crimes like we need to do away with political correctness.
You shouldn’t be fired for making a post on Twitter or Facebook unless that post is in itself a crime. Saying you will kill the president would be a threat. I’m not sure if that’s a crime, but saying you will kill somebody is about the only thing I can think of that should get you fired by itself. (To fire somebody under Florida law there is a legal procedure you must follow. However, people are fired every day for ill-advised social media posts with no reference to the required legal procedures. I wonder if there have been any cases brought before the courts on this issue.)
Yup.
The hateful and divisive rhetoric that so poisoned our national discourse shouldnt be allowed to take root in our schools, especially coming out of the mouths of our children to bully their peers. Parents must step up and talk to their children about tolerance.
Last time I looked it ALL STARTED in our Schools with the Establishment Marginalizing Americans and America, in favor of CRIMINAL INVADERS and People who want nothing but to DESTROY America, All PUSHED AS TOLERANCE by the Left.
The Sac Bee appears to have taken prop 64 quite literally.
Exactly. Here is a police report concerning a “hate crime” occurring on the University of California Santa Cruz campus:
Police are also investigating this as a possible hate crime because the assault may have been committed because of the actual or perceived protected characteristics of the student, said UCSC Chief of Police Nader Oweis in a community bulletin.
So what are actual or perceived protected characteristics?
Perhaps they can give one example of a Trump hate crime? Chanting Build the Wall is not a hate crime.
Pray America woke
No kidding. This rag fails to recognize the simple truth: Trump is NOT the protestors role model. Hillary is their role model.
The stupid - it burns.
For the sociopathic leftards, anything that effectively counters their perverted worldview and vile beliefs is defined as “hate speech”. To normal, productive, moral people, it is called common sense...
I didn’t cast my vote for him to be a role model. I sent him to Washington to clean up the mess the “roll models” put us in.
red
It seems like he has been a pretty good role model for his own kids! They turned out great!
There has been an uptick in hoaxes and hysteria that’s for sure
I agree with you 100%. People should be held accountable for what they DO. Not what they think.
I’m confused... So hate speech is OK?
Who was that kook Judge Jeanine had on Saturday night - Coco something? More like cuckoo! She has a radio talk show or something? She didn’t let Judge Jeanine get a word in edgewise and insisted on spouting the nonsense of harassment/torment from Trump supporters against protesters, I guess as she never did name specifics and I believe the Judge requested that she do so several times. There was so much talking over one another I’m not sure what really did take place except that some people don’t have any problem looking like idiots in front of millions of viewers. BTW it’s not hard to guess what “protected” group she belongs to in this country.
