I hope Paul Ryan goes the way of Chris Christie. I think President Elect Trump is a very good judge of character - and he appears to not tolerate any major flaws.

It opens up the head of the RNC to be a Trump supporter.

Trump has to satisfy his base. But Trump also has to work with establishment Republicans in Congress to actually get stuff passed. Hence, the dual appointment.

Trump gets to exercise the kind of managerial control he likes. Plus, if one of them screws up, it will be easier to handle replacing them.

Lots of potential win in this. But, it has a potential to devolve into conflict and backbiting. So, the proof (as it always is) will be in the pudding.

What if Trump forces Prince Pubus to FIRE RYAN? That would be fun. Make him in charge of deporting illegal aliens personally.

Reminds me of 2008——and some Kenyan with a strange name. :-)

Priebus vicariously, without naming names, did give the back of his hand to the BS of Ryan and the NeverTrump faction.

I thought he was rather brave to split with that treacherous crew. I know it took him time. He did not know how things would fall out, but by golly, he took the leap in some of those quiet and rather clandestine meetings in DC, with the moaners and whiners.

When I saw how displeased they were, I knew Priebus had thrown the gauntlet down, in favor of the nominee. Shortly, thereafter, we begin to hear Trump’s pleasure for Priebus spill out. Eventually, Trump was openly grateful to Reince for his “machine” work, getting TRUMP’s game plugged in, especially in Florida, with virtually NO MONEY from the Establishment and their Wall Street backers.

HORRIBLE choice having Pubus as COS. If there ever was a RINO well he has it. However to Trumps favor he is loyal but Pubus? Cmon man!

Priebus had to choose a side: Trump’s or Ryan’s. He chose Trump.

Yes, It is just terrible how Donald J Trump keeps making one bad personnel decision after another! Mike Pence for Vice President! Kellyanne Conway to run a Presidential General Election campaign? Give me a break!

Now, Reince Priebus for Chief of Staff and Stephen K. Bannon as Senior Counselor. What is the man thinking? ;-)

Priebus and Trump have seemed to get along from the first moment he won the nom.

“I” before “E”, except after “C”, or when followed by “H”,
as in “neighbor” and “eight”.

Does that apply to Priebus? Yep. I think so.

Sigh..he is good buddies with Ryan.

Yes, but he came around early enough. I think he understands who is in charge, and can bring the rest of the party in by extension. So I will trust Trump's judgement.

Ryan is useful unless he goes against Trump, which he won’t.

We must be united now, and not in fight.

Ryan is our Speaker and he brings much to the table.

Trump won. Campaign is over.
