President-elect Donald J. Trump today announced that Trump for President CEO Stephen K. Bannon will serve as Chief Strategist and Senior Counselor to the President, and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus will serve as White House Chief of Staff.
Bannon and Priebus will continue the effective leadership team they formed during the campaign, working as equal partners to transform the federal government, making it much more efficient, effective and productive. Bannon and Priebus will also work together with Vice President-elect Mike Pence to help lead the transition process in the run-up to Inauguration Day.
I am thrilled to have my very successful team continue with me in leading our country, said President-elect Trump. Steve and Reince are highly qualified leaders who worked well together on our campaign and led us to a historic victory. Now I will have them both with me in the White House as we work to make America great again.

I think most pictures like that are meant in humor, and that one is very well done.
But sometimes those pictures are meant as real Chairman-Mao-, Dear-Leader-type pictures.
I agree. Reince was the only one Trump asked to speak at his victory speech. Reince said, “Ladies and Gentlemen, the next President of the United States, Donald Trump. God Bless You. Thank God!”.
That last Thank God was very heartwarming to me, personally.
Sounds reasonable. His name is definitely German, but he does have a little of the Mediterranean appearance.
he’s been all in since Trump locked up the primaries got nominated. After the convention he spoke at probably dozens of rallies. he has been great. Bannon and he will compliment each other.
Sec Def, Sec State, new CIA director and get rid of the muslim in that slot, new FBI director and get rid of the worthless tit in that slot, new Chief of Joint Chiefs and new Chiefs for all the services and run off all the Obama butt kissers.
I don’t want Newby for anything. Nothing.
wow..you guys are soooo right on!
Everyone here is just such an EXPERT! ha.
I haven’t heard it with a short i sound that I can recall (although I haven’t watched the news today, so I don’t know how anyone currently might be screwing up his name). I’ve seen people making fun of his name by calling him “Rinse,” but that was a joke. The long i sound is the correct pronunciation as a nickname for his real name Reinhold, which is always pronounced with a long i sound.
bah. Who are you, anyway? A GOPe bot? At some point all that about Hastert will out.
well ...
Washington (CNN)Ted Cruz endorsed Donald Trump for the presidency Friday afternoon, a stunning turn of events after a contentious primary filled with nasty personal attacks and a dramatic snub at the Republican National Convention.
“After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump,” Cruz wrote in a Facebook post.
“A year ago, I pledged to endorse the Republican nominee, and I am honoring that commitment. And if you don’t want to see a Hillary Clinton presidency, I encourage you to vote for him.”
“I am greatly honored by the endorsement of Senator Cruz,” Trump said in a statement obtained by CNN. “We have fought the battle and he was a tough and brilliant opponent. I look forward to working with him for many years to come in order to make America great again.”

I liked both Cruz and Trump and was bummed when things got ugly between them, but that’s politics.
I thought Cruz should have endorsed earlier and think he did so at a late stage when he realized that going back on his pledge may hurt him in the future and he endorsed after Priebus commented that those not keeping their pledge may not get RNC money in the future.
I think Cruz did it because he felt he had to. I still like Cruz’s positions and hope they can work together. This our shot to get things done and rolled back and I hope Cruz will work with them and not against them. He could further his chances for a future presidential run if he works with them.
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said Sunday that its high time for Donald Trumps former primary challengers to come on board and support his campaignand suggested there could be trouble for them in 2020 or 2024 if they dont.
Those people need to get on board, he told CBS Face the Nation. And if theyre thinking theyre going to run again someday, I think that were going to evaluate the process of the nomination process and I dont think its going to be that easy for them.
Several of Trumps former Republican primary opponents, including Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush have not endorsed Trump in the months since the GOP businessman secured the nomination. Asked explicitly whether that meant there would be penalties for the handful of 2016 Republican hopefuls who have not endorsed Trump if they opted to run again in 2020 or 2024, Priebus said nothing has been decided but that its something the party will look at.
Even if it twisted their arms it probably went a long way to help Trump.
PS. If Trump wants Ryan fired—I promise, Ryan will be fired. I don’t think there’s a pol more DESPISED by normal Republucans than the cheating, vile, nasty gigolo boy Paul Ryan.
I don’t like the tone. If you feel absolutely compelled to correct the record, you can do it without, “good grief, good grief.” The only purpose of the latter is to pour cold water on other people’s enthusiasm. How does that help anyone other than Dems?
Oh, were any of them responsible for the ground game that was superior to Romneys that helped Trump win like Reince was (something he had been working hard on to improve since 2012)? Did these people threaten those who broke the pledge to endorse Trump with no more funding from the RNC (which led to Cruzs change of heart)? Did they criticize the NeverTrumpers on several occasions? Were they working closely with Trump for months on the campaign? And except for Huckabee, did any of those people campaign with Trump like Priebus did?
With Steve Bannon now appointed, the ghost of Andrew Breitbart is in the White House....
Thanks for posting that. Trump looks so happy, it brought a smile to my face.
donald looks like the cat that got the canary
A year ago, I pledged to endorse the Republican nominee, and I am honoring that commitment.”
I stand corrected. I had only heard he said he would vote for Trump, but not that he ever tied an endorsement to that action. Just this past week, someone else said they were voting for Trump but that it was not to be construed as an endorsement. I do remember Ted once saying he expected to vote for Trump, but it was the lesser of two bad choices.
I apologize to Ted Cruz for his September 22-23 comment. Ted, you did clear up the endorsement issue. Thank you!
Id agree with everything you said except Pubus is a little smarmy worm of the highest order. He’d do anything to remain relevant and we’ve certainly given him his relevance by slobbering all over this pick. Pubus plays the long game of survival and goes to the side that favors Pubus. I wouldn’t trust this guy anywhere near the White House.
I hope a lot in here are right because if history is any indication Pubus is going to be that “insider” everyone cheered for but will play both sides like a fiddle
Both Aunt and Uncle are CO natives. Their daughter met and married the Air Force dude in CO Springs. My Aunt and Uncle sold out to be closer to their daughter.
As much as I love my family, like cockroaches they bring their filth back to the home nest. I don’t know what it is about CA that makes people lose their common sense??
CO will never be the same. The front range and mountains are infested w them.
