Democrat Disaster: Former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich Threatens Creation of Third Party
Breitbart ^ | 11-12-2016 | Katherine Rodriguez

Bill Clinton former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich talked about creating a third party if the Democratic Party does not move in a more progressive direction.

“The Democratic Party can no longer be the same; it has been repudiated,” Reich said on a conference call with members from the progressive grassroots group Democracy for America.

“This has been a huge refutation of establishment politics, and the political organization has got to be changed. … If the Democratic Party can’t do it, we’ll do it through a third party.”

The Democratic Party is in an all-out civil war between the more progressive wing of the party and the more corporate wing of the party.

Some in the party are blaming progressives who supported Bernie Sanders for refusing to rally behind Hillary Clinton.

“The Sanders people should be mad at themselves,” said one well-connected Democratic strategist to the Hill. “If they had come out to vote, Donald Trump wouldn’t be president.”

You already have the Green Party, the Communist Party and the Socialist Party why not just join one of those?

This is just an old well known name trying for a power play within the party. Give me the power or I take people with me....problem is he does not have that kind of followers behind him.

“Why not just join the Communist Party of America”

Because joining an existing party would mean fighting the established hierarchy for the lead position. They want to start their own club and be the leaders so other people will join them. It’s all about leadership and control...in a word...ego. Oh, and another word, money. Possibly, power.

There is a huge socialist Bernie wing, but other than some funding by guys like George Soros, they won’t bring in money like the big-league established Democrats because none of them will hold positions where they can grant favors. Favors are how you get money. No favors, nothing but some donations from the disenfranchised commies.

The Australian barroom sport known as dwarf-tossing was outlawed due to its “insensitivity to the vertically challenged”.

The loudest opposition to the ban came from dwarves who had been making good money being hurled through the air while wearing safety equipment & landing on padded targets.

Anyway, let Robert Third Reich found his Munchkin Party.

I’ve said all along we need a viable third party. The utter contempt for which the DNC had for Bernie Sander’s Socialist movement , nearly half the party’s electorate, proves the need for one.

Super! When the choice is pure communism vs. 79% communism, it will split their vote so our side won’t even have to campaign - just tweet a few memos once a week...

If successful, this will result in nothing but a rebranding of the Democratic Party.

A natural, but unintended, consequence of the U.S. Constitution, with a strong unitary executive, and bicameral legislature is a two party system. Weaker parties merge or die until there are only two. In a unicameral (ignore the House of Lords) parliamentary system like the United (for now) Kingdom, and most of Europe, without an independent executive, tiny “boutique” parties enter into coalitions with larger parties and each other. This system gives fringe parties more power. One unanticipated benefit of our unique arrangement is that no significant political party can stray too far from the middle, free elections provide feedback which keeps the government - long term - aligned with the will of the people.

Democrats have noticed this, and the immigration reform act of 1965 was intended to replace the incumbent with a people more amenable to the Democrat Party.
