(CNN)Australia will transfer hundreds of refugees currently held in offshore detention centers to the United States in a landmark deal announced Sunday. The plan is a "one-off agreement. It will not be repeated," Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said at a press conference.
Turnbull added that the deal would only be available "to those currently in the regional processing centers" and will prioritize "women, children and families." Around 1,300 people are currently being held in offshore detention on the Pacific Island nation of Nauru, and Papua New Guinea's Manus Island. The majority of the detainees come from the Middle East and South Asia, with Iran and Afghanistan providing the bulk of the refugees.

I saw this when looking for info on the earthquake... Saw a part that says violence is common place in one of the camps.... Typical that we would import that.
In a deal, don’t both sides get what they want? The Aussies get rid of invaders, we take them and support them.
Perhaps, since this deal was sanctioned by Obama, both sides do. We the people don’t have any representation in this, only MISrepresentation.
This is an example of Obama doing everything possible to screw over the US before he leaves office. There will be more back channel deals and sabotage as he tries to cripple the US and Trump.

I’ve seen photos of these ‘refugees’. A better word would be refuse.
They are nearly all young Muslim men of military age. The type of crazy bums you see on the street in New York city. The exact type that we should be kicking OUT of the country.
Now you know why Obama wants them. I predict many of them (if not all of them) will be committing crimes when they come here. The American taxpayer will be burdened with these rag tag garbage scum forever.

Some may be under the impression that Australia is ‘tough’ with illegals on boats intercepted at sea and taken to New Guinea and other South Pacific islands.
While Australia succeeds in keeping them away from Australia, they still choose to house them, feed them etc., give them immigration hearings on the islands.
Australia complies with the “letter” of United Nations standards with this policy.
The Leftists howl and give the impression of a ‘tough’ policy, but most of the illegals never return to their home countries. Australia sends them to third countries if the illegals agree like Cambodia for example.
Now Obama offers Australia help.
