TV was busy last Monday (night before the election) so I had to listen on radio (Westwood One) to the Seahawks-Buffalo MNF game. During the halftime, they aired a few minutes of a "mini-interview" with each Presidential candidate, and Trump's answers were interesting. Keeping with the "sports theme", he was asked why he always seems to "go on offense". His response was that he learned that growing up in New York, when he encountered opposition first as a kid in school then as a young businessman, to never to give in or submit, and "always attack back twice as hard as they attack you".
Although short, that was a really revealing answer, and one that I hadn't heard before. Also a very reassuring answer, because one of the things about previous Republican candidates that drove us nuts was their lack of fighting back, their "wimpiness". How can you expect someone to challenge other countries if they don't even challenge a nerd reporter? As all of of found to our surprise, Trump does fight back, and hard.
This is the only road to political success, folks!! Democrats and Big Media are dirty street-fighters, and will throw everything at Republicans they can. This is no place for any more wimp candidates, only fighters need apply from now on.
Sounds like the Presidency will be back in capable hands come January. The adults are back in charge - what a relief.
Those of us who have always lived behind enemy lines (like our new President) know what to do.
Never play by their rules—create our own.
Never cede the moral high ground—the liberals have been, are and will always be evil.
Watch what they do, ignore what they say.
The MSM is the enemy.
Follow the money, follow the money, follow the money.
They have spies but they are easy to catch. Give a suspect false information and follow the leak.
Never tell them what you are thinking.
Always smile and be friendly.
(and more....)
One example of Trump tactics at work was the use of advertising in Wisconsin.
The polls showed Clinton far ahead.
Trump waited until the week before the election and then spent seven times more than Clinton on campaign ads in that state.
The Clinton folks never saw it coming...and when they did figure it out never believed it would matter.
I see Trump as the kind of person whose “philosophy” would not have to be second-guessed. However, that won’t stop people from developing their own versions and presenting them as being some kind of prevailing wisdom, even from a foreigner’s perspective.
You can just imagine the condescending meetings Big Media and the Democrats must have had last summer
Hey, instead of Jeb, how about if we promote that Trump guy? Hes just another Republican wimp, plus hes an idiot, so we only have to help make him their candidate, then we can crush him with another one of our famous intimidation moves, like the War on Women meme. Then hell roll over like puppy.
Thats a great idea - this election is going to be even easier than we thought.
**** The best part is, ISIS probably thought the same way and soon they will be stunned and shocked the same way Big Media was
ISIS/ISIL/Daesh/al Qaeda/Boko Harum...None of them should be at all surprised at the next big thing to be headed their way via our new Commander-In-Chief and a victory-oriented U.S. military.
Trump philosophy: we win; they lose.
