Members of the Hell's Angels motorcycle club went to Lee Circle and surrounded the Robert E. Lee monument Thursday.
The development came after New Orleans and other American cities were roiled by a wave of vandalism by those lashing out after the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States.
Protesters took to the streets again later that night, but in a much more peaceful manner.
New Orleans Police Superintendent Michael Harrison held a press conference hours earlier to detail the NOPD strategy for handling those protests.
I was trying to be polite and restrained. I remember when their name, alone, struck fear into the hearts of most Californians. I suspect that those who have survived have mellowed somewhat over the years.
I can’t disagree with the sentiment. Blue on blue isn’t going to affect our little towns, but I’d still like to see law established by force.
Too many innocent people have already been hurt and killed. These thugs need to be taken down, and Soros and company need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
The Hells Angels is a criminal organization now, as it was back then.
There is NO Louisiana chapter of the Hells Angels. It may have been the Hells Lovers,a mixed race club but not the HA. Louisiana is a Red and Gold state. No HA allowed.
