On December 19, the Electors of the Electoral College will cast their ballots. If they all vote the way their states voted, Donald Trump will win. However, they can vote for Hillary Clinton if they choose. Even in states where that is not allowed, their vote would still be counted, they would simply pay a small fine - which we can be sure Clinton supporters will be glad to pay!
We are calling on the Electors to ignore their states' votes and cast their ballots for Secretary Clinton. Why?
Mr. Trump is unfit to serve. His scapegoating of so many Americans, and his impulsivity, bullying, lying, admitted history of sexual assault, and utter lack of experience make him a danger to the Republic. Secretary Clinton WON THE POPULAR VOTE and should be President.
Hillary won the popular vote. The only reason Trump "won" is because of the Electoral College.
But the Electoral College can actually give the White House to either candidate. So why not use this most undemocratic of our institutions to ensure a democratic result?

The electors would be signing their own death warrants.
Denial is not just a river in Egypt.

They aren't trying to get the rules changed. They are trying to get Trump electors to flip. It's not going to happen.
morons....
Dead morons walking.
But that's their ultimate goal anyway. Change through destruction of the status quo.
1. Let’s stop calling her Secretary Clinton. She sucked at the job.
2. I want to refer to her as inmate!
3. If the EC elects her there will be hell to pay.
I’m betting that every one of these 891,000 idiots was OUTRAGED when Trump didn’t immediately respond affirmatively to the question about accepting the outcome of the election...
and why she has not done or said a thing about it.
Liberals love lies ... that’s why they love hearing Obama “speak” ....
I think the Washington State elector is an American Indian. So maybe he will vote for Elizabeth Warren. Of course he belongs to a different tribe—not many Cherokees in the Pacific Northwest.
Hellary didn’t win the popular vote, either. I’ve been looking for info about how many votes may have been cast by illegal aliens, felons, and dead people, and it appears to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.5M to 2M. Since at least 75% of those people would have voted for Hitlery, that reduces her total by at least 1.1M votes, making her total less than President-elect Trump’s.
Nearly 100 percent of military and law enforcement are behind our President-Elect.
So good luck with your little online coup you snowflakes!
So nearly a million uneducated people are having a temper tantrum
She should be referred to as Mrs. Clinton, since the only accomplishment she has is marrying Bubba and protecting him from the consequences of his actions all these years.
Ouch ... that’s gonna leave a mark.
Ha.
Trump this year accomplished what Gore attempted in 2000. In that election, going down to the wire, Bush held a small but durable national lead in virtually all the public polling. Gore's hopes lay in winning a handful of big states to tip the Electoral College his way. In the final weeks, the race appeared to depend on, if I recall correctly, Florida and two other states. Democrats talked incessantly about the primacy of the Electoral College, that most brilliant of inventions by the constitutional convention.
Everything flipped at the end for two reasons. The first was the late hit on Bush's 30 year old DUI, which dominated the news in the last 72 hours. The second was the networks' early call of Florida for Gore, announced while the polls were open in the panhandle. That cost Bush several thousand votes in Florida (had this not happened, the recount fiasco would never have taken place). It probably cost Bush the national popular vote lead as well, as the bad call in Florida was not retracted for a couple of hours; this was during prime voting hours in the mountain and western time zones, where voters all believed Gore had already won.
Gore emerged with the popular vote majority. Democrats popped everything they had been saying about the Electoral College down the memory hole. I'm sure Trump's win will reinforce their calls for abolishing the EC.
You are of course correct that without the EC, the strategies of the campaigns would be entirely different. Democrats are making a very careless assumption when they argue that their popular vote lead would persist under the new rules.
But in addition, the Electoral College is a vital limitation on vote fraud. It compartmentalizes corruption. The margins in most of the states are outside the limits of fraud; we need only be concerned about a handful of very close states in a disputed election. If we eliminated the EC, the opportunity and incentive for fraud would increase exponentially, and every recount would have to be conducted nationally. Imagine the 2000 Florida recount if Republicans went vote mining in Nebraska and Georgia to offset Democrat vote mining in four counties in Florida while the Democrats expanded their search to Philly, Chicago and Los Angeles. It was a nightmare as it was. Without the EC, the problems would have compounded massively.
“Hillary won the popular vote. The only reason Trump “won” is because of the Electoral College.”
Listen, morons, the Presidency is won in the EC, by winning 270 votes. Every candidate knows this, and has known it since before anyone who will ever read this was born.
As a result, the campaigns of all serious contenders for the Presidency are geared toward winning the 270 votes - which means that they focus on winning so-called “battleground” (i.e. close) states. It makes no sense to waste the candidate’s time or money going after, say, California - the Democrat knows that it is a winner, the Republican knows that its a loser.
If, however, the rules were changed and the national popular vote would determine the winner, Republicans would run hard in states like California and New York, and Democrats in Texas, Oklahoma, etc.
The finish line of the race was CLEARLY defined, and Clinton knew where it was long before Trump even considered running for POTUS. Don’t try to change the rules on us, and don’t believe that we are so stupid as to buy your BS so-called reasoning, ya freakin’ MORON!
Geeze, with liberals it’s not “settled law” until they win.
