AFGE: Federal workers will continue to do their jobs regardless of who is in office
WASHINGTON American Federation of Government Employees National President J. David Cox Sr. today issued the following statement in reaction to the presidential election results:
The American people have spoken and elected Donald Trump as the next president of the United States. As public servants, federal employees work for the American people and will continue to carry out the missions of their agencies under the Constitution and law.
AFGE will continue to fight for workers rights and for the programs and services government employees deliver for the American people. That never changes no matter who sits in the White House.
We will work with the Trump administration on areas of common ground, as we have with every administration for generations. AFGE remains the leading advocate on behalf of the federal workforce and the incredible service provided to our nation by the dedicated civil servants we represent.
There are precious few “working Americans” in the federal government.
Fire them all, YOUR FIRED.
Eliminate federal employee unions by executive order.
No, I like your earlier idea of the quarter of you quitting “public service”. Please continue on that track.
Hopefully there will be about half that number in a couple of years....
I thought that 35% said they were going to quit if Trump won. More liars?
First step, cut 670,000 down to about half that.
Since when does a half butted outfit tell the POTUS what he is or is not going to do?
That MIGHT have been the case, but we have a new sheriff in town and the American People are coming with him, so back down, and sit down, you MIGHT have a job or you might be picking string beans in Iowa...
that is just typical of unions.
Working Americans elected Trump and don't want anything to do with their help.
Federal workers will continue to do their jobs regardless of who is in office
Wow. That's big of them.
Can we disband or make illegal federal government employee unions?
They are bad for the country and a base of support for the communists, er, Democrats.
Kennedy via an executive order #10988, which allowed the creation of a union representing federal employees,
Trump could repel that order if and when he decides to.
Sep 4, 2010 - In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed Executive Order 10988, which permitted collective bargaining by federal employees.
This union should not exist. And if this Union is more than an internal HR department, it should be outlawed.
What do government workers know about “working Americans”?
Hey, government union - remember Reagan and “PATCO”?
You’ll long for those days.
Can we disband or make illegal federal government employee unions?
They are bad for the country and a base of support for the communists, er, Democrats.
________________
We won’t get ahold of the country until we do make government unions illegal.
One area of common ground I can think of is the 35% of government workers that said they would quit of Trump was elected. Let's start there.
And by the way. Trump has made a living working with unions and government bureaucrats. Trump finds a way to work with them.
