It took nearly 16 hours to determine but Michigan is officially with Donald Trump.
Trump has won a hard fought battle for Michigans 16 electoral votes.
Just after 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson released the final popular vote totals.
In the presidential race Donald Trump received 2,277,586 votes to Hillary Clintons 2,264,361.
Trump recorded a razor-thin margin in the 83 county total: 47.60 percent to Clintons 47.33 percent.
Its a key win that few saw coming in Trumps quest for the 270 votes that could make him the next president of the United States.

I think that MI and NH, even though they have all precincts, still have to complete the count of absentees and provisionals.
Can you believe it that the New York Times got it right first last night and the projection of 306 was spot on? It’s almost like they went into journalism mode or something. :)
you are totally right. i was very, very surprised this morning to see PA. stayed up until around 1;30 when i finally decided to go to bed.
TRUMP WINS TOTAL ELECTORAL VOTE 306 with Michigan and Arizona!!!!!
Just goes to show how important it is for everybody to get out and vote. While this is a solid victory for Trump overall, it would not have taken too many people sitting on their hands - or casting a useless "protest vote" - to completely alter the outcome.
Taking PA, OH, WI and now MI feels so good. This was truly a Rust Belt driven victory.
Thanks Rust Belt guys! We owe you big.
Be strong and steadfast; have no fear or dread of them, for it is the LORD,
your God, who marches with you;
He will never fail you or forsake you.
Deuteronomy 31:6
It takes us a minute.
Too busy talking about the weather.
Voter ID should be near the top of Trump's secondary issues to battle.
This kind of stuff needs to end, period. Purple fingers, whatever it takes, but this has to end. All my life it has been like this.
Smitten with the mitten! :)
I think NH and AZ are still out. I can understand NH as it’s so close but not calling AZ yet makes no sense at all.
Looking at the NYT and AP maps, I would think both NH and MI might HAVE to recount. Thank God we didn’t need either to win (but I want them anyway)!! I wanted Virginia as well, though. I’m greedy that way. ;)
And doing away with electronic voting machines!
Thank you BIG TEN:
OHIO STATE
WISCONSIN
MICHIGAN
PENN STATE
I predicted he'd get 302.
.
Maine CD 2 may give Trump 307. ...We’ll see. :)
Don’t forget Iowa!
