This mirrors my experience this morning with my lib friends, especially the minority ones. They are actually in fear for their lives as if the KKK is going to rise up and burn down their houses.
It's almost like the Japanese civilians jumping off that cliff in Okinawa during WWII rather than surrender because they feared what they were told about American soldiers.
