Donald John Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States on Tuesday in a stunning culmination of an explosive, populist and polarizing campaign that took relentless aim at the institutions and long-held ideals of American democracy.
The surprise outcome, defying late polls that showed Hillary Clinton with a modest but persistent edge, threatened convulsions throughout the country and the world, where skeptics had watched with alarm as Mr. Trump’s unvarnished overtures to disillusioned voters took hold.
The triumph for Mr. Trump, 70, a real estate developer-turned-reality television star with no government experience, was a powerful rejection of the establishment forces that had assembled against him, from the world of business to government, and the consensus they had forged on everything from trade to immigration.
The results amounted to a repudiation, not only of Mrs. Clinton, but of President Obama, whose legacy is suddenly imperiled. And it was a decisive demonstration of power by a largely overlooked coalition of mostly blue-collar white and working-class voters who felt that the promise of the United States had slipped their grasp amid decades of globalization and multiculturalism.

Don’t blame us. If you had not allowed, indeed, PARTICIPATED in corruption of those “hallowed institutions” you find so precious this morning DJT would be just a successful owner of commercial real estate. If the NY Times can not even admit this then the election means nothing. We will have to have a civil war to rid ourselves of this pestilence.

From NH to LA there is a blue line curving along what is close to the I95 I85/I10 I20 interstate corridor. Somewhat the same on the I% corridor on the west coast. As cities build on these interstates we are getting to what I call a linear megacity with little rural breaks between cities. When Dwight Eisenhower proposed the interstate highway system for defense reasons I’m pretty sure no one considered this consequence-a linear mega city-would arise. Probably affects weather patterns, voter patterns, social interactions, commerce etc. I haven’t seen a study on this but maybe my niece can do one as her economics thesis.
Ideals? Those ideals were perverted long ago.

This shows how totally out of touch the liberal elite is. They don't recognize that the institutions and long-held ideals of America aren't them and their ideas.
They really think a corrupt press, millions dollar checks given by foreign leaders to ex presidents to celebrate their birthday, rampant cronyism, and "Spirit Cooking" are institutions and long-held ideals of our nation. They just learned that they are wrong.

I think I persuaded a few people to vote for Trump by pointing out that even the Republican elites came out against him. NO ONE OWNS TRUMP. I just pray he will do right by the USA now.
Houston’s DA office was the one with the Planned Parenthood-affiliated staffer who chose NOT to pursue charged against PP for selling body parts and instead pursued charges against the whistleblowers for using “falsified” identities.
Because he's a walking bank for politicians who pledge their allegiance to him. Actually Russia has a warrant for him I think and he's been run out if several countries. One would imagine he's an atheist but I believe he probably would worship Satan if he believed he was the source of all of his money. Heck he may be joined at the hip with many of the Satanists we've been hearing about especially since there are deviant sex aspects of many Satanic rituals that are performed. Man there is no telling how much evil has occurred within the walls of the WH in the past 25 or 30 years since the Clintons have been there. I've heard some bizarre things like the rest of you have I'm sure.
