Ever been in close quarters with the Amish? I suspect they will be driving with the windows rolled down.

Aside from their hygiene habits, they do make sturdy furniture and breed all kinds of purebred dogs...

Good garden sheds and yard furniture, too.

Don’t ever try the Shoo Fly Pie.

One great thing about the Redding Terminal Market in Philly — the Amish stand. Used to visit my brother when he lived there — and would stock up on jars of garlic jelly (phenomenal) and all sorts of incredible fruit jams.

Dig the Amish, very much so. Did they come out for Romney? I don’t think they did. Thankful that they’re coming out now.

That’s just molasses in a pie crust, isn’t it?

THAT is the line-up for Kaine's Nov 5th rally at FLorida SouthWester University.

Just before the doors opened the line grew to a massive TWENTY FOUR people.

24..!!!

Why so? Is it good, or no?

I’ve never had it, so I googled.

Yep. I love molasses cookies like Joe Froggers, but Shoo Fly Pie? Gag me.

Thanks for the laugh!!! I needed it. I was going to post the same thing.

We have a bunch around us, pleasant enough but man hard to take standing in line on a hot summers day at the grocery or hardware store.

The Amish around here do not vote. consider it a part of the ‘world’ which they do not want to be associated with.

Wow!

This is amazing. I have never heard of anything like this before!

God Bless those people. I thank them... though they will probably never know it.

LOL! I bet a few of those volunteers will regret their decision when they find themselves living out the real life version of that episode of Seinfeld with the car valet!

I saw W. At Lancaster airport in 2004. He met a large group of Amish in a tent that was set up between plane amd stage.
