That photo is me about ten years ago, standing in the ruins of a land where people rejected the rule of law in favor of the rule of force. I think a lot about my year-long deployment to Kosovo these days. I think a lot about people today who, for short term political points, cavalierly disregard the rules, laws and norms that made America what it is.
...
Today in America, a despised minority that's really no minority is the target of an establishment that considers this minority unworthy of respect, unworthy of rights, and unworthy of having a say in the direction of this country. Its an establishment that has one law for itself, and another for its enemies. Its an establishment that inflicts an ever-increasing series of petty humiliations on its opponents and considers this all hilarious.
Thats a recipe for disaster. You cannot expect to change the status quo for yourself and then expect those you victimize not to play by the new rules you have created. You cannot expect to be able to discard the rule of law in favor of the rule of force and have those you target not respond in kind.
...
Im not advocating violence I am warning liberals they are setting the conditions for violence.
...
I know the endgame of discarding the rule of law for short-term advantage because I stood in its ruins. Liberals think this free society just sort of happened, that they can poke and tear at its fabric and things will just go on as before. But they wont. So at the end of the day, if you want a society governed by the rule of force, you better pray that youre on the side with the guns and those who know how to use them.
I just found it a link from Kurt's latest editorial. And frankly, it's a combination of depressing and frightening.
Be sure to read the entire article, rather than my excerpt (to stay under the 300 word limit). I don't want anyone to come away with the idea that this is a call to arms. It's a warning from someone that has seen what happens when this spirals out of control.
But mostly, I'm posting this to remind everyone what we are really fighting for. Without the rule of law, or different sets of rules/laws for different people, the inevitable result is tyranny, then anarchy. You can see it happening in Venezuela right now.
Hillary Clinton must be stopped. If she isn't, I'll be apologizing to my grandchildren because too many people didn't see what was coming.
Bottom line: If they steal the election, WE THE PEOPLE are no longer bound by the law, rather we are COMPELLED to do what is necessary to defend this country from the domestic terrorists threatening our world from within.
Historically, Republics start to die when the Political Elite discovers it can get away with ignoring the Rule of Law.
For 30 years the Clinton’s have run corrupt lawless machine the controls the Democrat party.
Voters have a chance on Nov 8th 2016 to end that history of lawlessness and corruption. Our Press will not. Our Government agencies will not. On Nov 8th 2016, YOU are the law.
Schlichter is brilliant. Read his latest book, “People’s Republic”. That’s how I think this will turn out in a few years.
Even in the brightest scenario (Donald Trump decisively trounces Hillary) the leftist side is due a very unpleasant rout. Which they will have richly deserved.
Now, God gives us a way of getting better than what we deserved — but it has to be accepted the way God requires it to be accepted. That is, to receive grace and then by all means to pass it on to those we meet. There can not be a “grace for me and not for thee” situation. That isn’t grace.
If they manage to lie, cheat steal the election for Clinton, millions of people like me are going to feel bound by our oath to:
I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;
The oath that God made before all creation will matter the most, however.
I've read the book -- almost as soon as it was published. I had read Conservative Insurgency, and it popped up in my recommended list.
For anyone that hasn't, here are links to Amazon:
Conservative Insurgency
People's Republic
Those are referral-free links. I get nothing from Amazon if you buy from them.
The first book was published in 2014, and is a history of what happened from 2009-2041. You'll quickly note a few things that were predicted early in the book that happened differently in the last couple of years.
The second one is actually dystopian fiction, which Kurt prefaces by saying: this is what he is afraid will happen, not what he wants to happen. I don't think it will happen in the next few years, but if Clinton manages to get elected and "stack the deck" to oppress/overwhelm conservative voters (preventing meaningful opposition), I think we will see something like it in my lifetime.
Your right about history but it is irrelevant in our case because we are a democracy. Democracy’s die when 51% decide to live at the expenses of the other 49%.
What Good Can a Handgun Do Against an Army.....?

I hope all the liberals sleep comfortable in there nice warm beds......sleep well my liberal friends, we will meet soon...the crows are growing hungry.

We are NOT A DEMOCRACY, we are a REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC.
Big difference when the rules are applied and followed properly.
If Hillary isn’t stopped tomorrow then prepare to go to war with the people who go to war against you. It won’t be a choice. You’ll either submit or die.
It hasn’t been great with Obama but after eight years of Hillary we won’t have a country anymore. At least it won’t look like the USA anymore.
That would be the spark. Too many people cannot imagine this change because tbey have been enjoying the warm bath for too long they think it’s normal.
The old ‘normalcy bias’.
The water is too hot now.
Violence is much less likely if Trumps wins then if Trump loses.
The Left has created a PR Trump that does not exist outside anywhere but their own feverish swamp PR machine. If they cannot get people out of vote for Hillary, they are not going to get them to go riot for her. Once the reality of Trump as President dispel the rabid lying myths about Trump the Leftist propaganda machine have manufactured, there is going to be a lot less angst toward Trump among the Center-Left average people.
With Hillary, we know we have a corrupt lying, narcissistic megalomaniac who has no moral or ethical restraints on her lust for power. We know that ultimately only the people can impose restraint on a corrupt out of control government.
Thomas Jefferson said it:
“If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so”
That's a really good point.
If Trump hires good people, gets good advice, and settles down into governing as a center-right President, the moderate middle will realize it was all manufactured outrage. With any luck, they'll turn on the manufacturers, which leads me to my new meme:
He has to find a way to do it without appearing to be petty or thin-skinned. But, he shouldn't let it go unanswered.

I am referring to what we are here and now in the real world the world not “..when the rules are applied and followed properly”.
But if I were to find common ground with you I would say that we were founded as a Constitutional Federal Republic.
