Amnesty supporters have been pushing claims that deporting illegal aliens would cost fantastic amounts of money. The truth is that legalizing a horde of low wage people who already use massive amounts of government services would be fantastically expensive. This analysis, if anything, understates the real numbers. But it's a window into just what illegal alien amnesty would cost us.

Even without the amnesty we’re already paying plenty for these invaders; here in NJ their anchor babies are in the schools, living on every public assistance possible.
Well then they’re just going to have to work harder and give up some things like warm houses and air conditioning and health insurance
And that’s assuming it’s only 11 million.
[Three times that much if it’s 33 million.]
In article:
“... Amnesty for illegal immigrants ...would require an immediate tax hike of $1.2 trillion ...”
“A Heritage Foundation analysis of the NAS study looked at just the impact amnesty would have and said that an immediate tax increase of $1.29 trillion would be needed to finance the infrastructure, school, welfare and other costs of illegals.
“And no the illegals will not magically become the high earners and taxpayers of tomorrow. They will be the subsidized ObamaCare users, the free cell phone users and the free everything users.”
Even worse: We aren’t just losing health care, we’re being taxed to provide it to others.
I’ve never seen work so disincentivized in my life...
Same here in Memphis, and it’s not just mexicans, but chinese as swell as muslims. They dumb down our schools to even lower than they were when integrated.
Oh, I bet they find a way to limit it to the middle class, and not affect to top 1%.
“And no the illegals will not magically become the high earners and taxpayers of tomorrow.”
That, and now that they are legal, they will all lose there jobs to the NEXT wave of illegal workers, working at 1/3 of what they use to be paid.
Half of the households aren’t paying taxes, and they are underestimating the true number of illegals— so instead of 15,000 per household it is more like 35- 40,000 per household that actually pay taxes.
Same for Georgia.
We’re one of several states being infested with these people.
A few will start “nesting” in different neighborhoods and before you know it they’re swarming.
I realized something was up 30+ years ago when I ran into illegals in a north Georgia mountain town - way up in the mountains.
A town where the only outsiders encountered are city folk like myself out for a Sunday drive around the mountains.
I wonder is an amnesty would be inciteful enough to spur an actual tax-revolt for the true citizenry.
You ain't kidding, add in things like "self-employment tax" and it becomes really obvious.
Meh. They’ll just increase business taxes and we will pay it in the resulting increased prices. That’s how we pay a LOT of our taxes.
You mean the Republican and Democrat parties. Both parties love illegals and amnesty.
but.but ....but they pay taxes tooooooo.
Why not we do it under the Republican party as well.
We would catch them and then see them at the bus station the next morning under Jorge Bush with a free bus ticket for Houston or San Antonio. That is right, not Mexico
How about an armed revolt. That would drain the swamp
Well, it’s not like the two are mutually exclusive...
Same here in NJ! A few years ago we took the kids up to NW NJ (a mountainous rural area, near the intersection of NJ, NY, and PA) and the farm workers were all Mexicans. 30 years ago I doubt there was a single Spanish speaker in that whole county. Saw something similar in the Catskills a few decades ago; the rustbelt towns were being re-populated with Hispanics...
In my area in NJ, those populations ARE “the schools”...very few American children (which is why the border is left open to begin with).
