A Los Angeles Times reporter who said that he wanted Donald Trump dead wont be covering the election or much of anything else, really for a very long time.
Steven Borowiec, a freelance journalist who worked for the paper in South Korea, was fired after a tweet surfaced showing him saying, I would rather see Donald Trumps life end.
The tweet was deleted (which, as you know, always solves every problem).
However, the Los Angeles Times confirmed to TheBlaze that he had been terminated for the disgusting statement. Earlier today, Steven Borowiec, a freelance journalist in South Korea, posted a tweet about Donald Trump on his personal Twitter profile that violated our professional standards, the statement read.
The Los Angeles Times is committed to fair, evenhanded coverage of the presidential campaign, and expects all journalists representing the paper, including non-staff contributors such as Mr. Borowiec, to adhere to this standard in their articles and social media posts. We regard Mr. Borowiecs comment as inexcusable, and we have ended our relationship with him.
Borowiec later apologized, saying that the tweet was in jest. Yeah, that one usually doesnt work, either.
Generally, wishing death upon major party candidates (or for that matter, even minor party candidates) is whats typically known as a red flag in the whole employment thing. Its especially bad when you do it on social media so that everyone can see it.
However, its hardly a surprise to us. After all, a recent poll concluded that far from the emissaries of love and peace they think themselves to be, Hillary Clinton supporters are actually the intolerant ones.
In the poll, conducted by Pew Research, 58 percent of Hillary Clinton supporters said they would have a hard time respecting a Donald Trump supporter. Thats compared to only 40 percent of Trump supporters who said the same thing about Hillary Clinton.
Weve seen violence, firebombings, stolen yard signs, all from the basket of intolerants that Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has assembled. Steven Borowiec is one of them, and it cost him his job.
I also wouldnt count on getting another one any time soon, Steven.
Look in a mirror next time you want to talk about violence, lefties.
Thrown under the bus. Doesn’t change the fact that most with the LA Times agree with the fired reporter.
Hey Secret Service!
I’m sure you have your hands full, but there’s a guy in LA you may just want to pay a visit to.
“Thrown under the bus. Doesnt change the fact that most with the LA Times agree with the fired reporter.”
Yes, but then don’t most of us harbor similar thoughts about the Clintons?
Was he at the Reno rally tonight?
Karma.
Good riddance. I imagine a lot more reporters will be losing their jobs now that they alienated the productive half of the country and are dropping in revenue. We need journalists in a free country, but that is exactly why the newspaper propagandists of today need to lose their jobs.
With that on his resume, he ought to be able to get a job at CNN or MS-NBC.
He’s in South Korea. The LA Times is in California. Good reading.
Yes but we dont write stories for a newspaper for a living,,or have a chance to abuse that power.
And perosnally they may as well save everyone the headache and make the bill and hillary memorial urinal stone right now, because it will save a lot of grass and sod purchases by the cemetery.
Uh....didn’t Brad Thor essentially threaten the same thing while a guest on The Blaze
Any ramifications for him?
They all think that.
....I also wouldnt count on getting another one any time soon, Steven....
HuffyPo, Salon, and many other liberal fiction publications there with open arms. There’s always the Onion too.
Trump has all the momentum
Not really. She's ancient and very sick, so that'll work itself out. I'd be perfectly contented seeing her locked in a cell for the rest of her life.
We wanted Bill impeached. We want Hillary to go to jail for one or more of her numerous offenses. But no, unless convicted of treason or of murder (Arkancide) an properly sentenced, we don't wish death upon them. Going away in disgrace is fine.
I don’t wish them dead, just to have to face truth/facts and life much more uncomfortable then they have been living. jail would be nice but I’d be ok with losing homes and anything else purchased with wrongfully gotten monies.
Was this guy in Reno about 90 minutes ago?
