Wow, the MoD is even worse that the average ‘charity’. I heard on NPR one day talking about breast cancer and that only 16 cents ib the dollar actually goes toward research - the rest is ‘overhead’ A representative for them got somewhat angry and said that that is right in line with everyone else.

Moral of the story - GIVE DIRECTLY. The only charity that has never been questioned as far as I know is the Salvation Army. Everyone else should be avoided.

It’s more rewarding to help people in a personal manner anyway.
