Also, Wikipedia by nature is very lefty biased. The lefties are going to say there is no cure, in the interest of normalizing it eventually playing on people’s misguided pity.

I am nearly finished with this subject. Do you understand the difference between “cure” and “treatment?”
I am a practical old guy, with nearly 23 years sober, so I know something about recovery.
And what I know is I am NOT cured. If I start drinking again, I am in big trouble.
The spiritual aspects of 12 Step methods helped.
But it is nonetheless NOT a cure, from God or from science. It is a treatment.
I am skeptical of religious claims to Cure people of homosexuality or other behaviors. Witness the Duggar son.

It was based on a Methodist salvational theology, which shorts some of the divine promises. Divine promises must be believed to become active.
