Agreed, and as former Cruzer I’m a little disappointed, but he’s doing no harm.
Cruz has nothing to gain if Trump loses. All but the most delusional nevertrumpers have come to relize that no one in the Basket of Deplorables will ever forgive them or vote for them if they cost Mr. Trump his hard-won election.
“Trump shouldnt allow him anywhere near the campaign.”
Nope. Or are you seriously arguing that Sen. Cruz is worse than hitlery?
This is ALL HANDS ON DECK time and if Cruz is metaphorically willing to work the cannons, then we need him. We’ll worry about whether he is a weasel later.
Dis-agree, I wouldn’t let these “save my own ass it looks like Trump is going to win” near my campaign. Trump is winning without them, let them go to hell and never hold office again.
This is ALL HANDS ON DECK time and if Cruz is metaphorically willing to work the cannons, then we need him. Well worry about whether he is a weasel later.
Agreed. But he’s not working cannons here. He’s swabbing the deck at most. He could be doing A LOT more.
Sorry your advice didn’t work for some...Cruz is on board unlike some others out there
Ted Cruz is actually a guy that does have principles. That’s why when you brand him a liar - when you make fun of his wife - when you accuse his father - he takes it to heart because if you have principles those things actually matter. So be grateful, he is putting all the personal stuff aside and helping defeat Hillary. Trump will find out, he’s better with Cruz as an ally, than an enemy. Cruz can articulate the Trump’s arguments, better than Trump. You know it’s true. I imagine these Trump supporters who haven’t been following politics the last 4 years don’t understand what Cruz is about. He was the guy that spoke for 21 hours against Obamacare. He’s the original anti-establishment guy and that’s why the establishment doesn’t like him. I’m all for Trump, but it’s really time all Trump people see the bigger picture and appreciate any help they can get. Be mad at Kasich - he voted for McCain.
If Cruz is supporting Trump how come he cannot say his name anymore? Come on, Ted. Say it. Try and get it out.

Punk Ryan is playing the same “I won’t say Trump’s name” game. Beyond pathetic.
Cruz was my guy before Trump got in. Cruz needs to get overhimself and the primary. Trump's father and wife were attacked too. Trump's father was attacked as being a supposed member of the KKK and Melania was attacked by Cruz's campaign manager. Cruz also said Trump had mafia ties.
Did Cruz utter the words, “I endorse Donald Trump for president”?
I’ll bet he didn’t.
Right, maybe the crowd is not so critically listening and is excited to hear Mike Pence come on stage and deliver the full MAGA message.
Cruz was very good and concise on all the key issues.
Certainly, it will help mobilize the vote.
Also in Colorado, although much of Colorado has already voted. And please give Cruz some credit. I don’t see Jeb or Kasich or Graham out there stumping for Trump/Pence.
“—> Do not degrade this thread into a rehash of the Primary Process.”
What - did you buy Free Republic from JimRob?
Must have, seeing as you’re giving orders as to what we can say here.
True. Cruz’s value to us is to motivate voters to vote for Trump. period.
Cruz spoke from behind the podium covered by a TRUMP / Pence sign.
The visual is good enough, we’ll take it.
Don’t bother, on one side you have the nevertrumpers (of which Ted is not one) on the other side you have the Pom Pom cheering section not waiting a second to be critical of Ted.
Advice: you can’t post anything of a positive nature of Ted round these parts. To do so risks a frothing dervish frenzy to one up last week’s Cruz comment of the week.
Was the primary nasty? Yup any truly objective person would say it was on both sides. One won, one lost. One will be president and one will still stick to his conservative voting record and fight in the Senate (as he has done since he has joined). Both will make fine people in their respective positions. Some will never let it go
Oh, boy, you did it. Prepare for incoming! Of course you’re exactly right, but definitely in the minority here. IMO, what Cruz can do here is to articulate why recalcitrant establishment type Republicans are endangering the country by not voting for Trump. Whether he mentions Trump’s name or not is irrelevant. The key is to increase these voters’ comfort level with a Trump presidency.
Did you? I thought it was a nice statement.
I don’t like Cruz any more.
Having said that, if he delivers the votes, his reasons could be because the little man living in his finger told him to for all I care.
Trump apparently believes that’s the case, and I trust his judgment.
