Does Senator Grassley really expect the “Justice Department” to be apolitical and unbiased?

"What we need are guillotines"If you let their carcasses rot off the noose, you get the same effect.

Once Trump is elected, all of the Clinton investigations should be immediately suspended. We don't want Obama's toadies cutting immunity deals and hamstringing future prosecution.
The day after inauguration, Trump should clean house at the DoJ. Fire every person appointed by Obama, and look closely at the career bureaucrats.
Comey should be given the option to resign, or be fired. Trump will take a lot of heat for doing it, but it has to be done.
After the DoJ and FBI are staffed again, reopen the investigations. This time, no immunity for anyone: indict them, and offer a plea deal for testimony. If they don't take the deal, put them on trial and impose the maximum sentence.
Once a few are sentenced to hard time, the rest will walk all over Hillary for a better plea deal.

Would this include the Weiner probe?

I would think that Hillary, who participated in the investigation of Nixon, would not have a logical argument to stand on if she were to object to a special prosecutor.

Of course there should be be a special prosecutor! But the question is moot. Hillary will be pardoned by Obama, win or lose.

I was going with a simple yes we need a special prosecutor until I saw your suggestion...after a fair trial ofcourse.
To: Hadean
At the rate things are going, Bill and Hillary Clinton could be essentially spending the rest of their lives in prison.

... he is concerned about a conflict of interest between her and Justice Department officials...It's been kept quiet, but the Department of Justice and the Selective Service System were merged not long ago. It's informally known as the Selective Justice System. They select their cronies to work there and who gets "justice".
