That's why I'd rather go to jail than pay a penny in fines or legal fees.

Notice how quickly the persecution of Kim Davis in that Kentucky "gay marriage" case ended once the Federal judge put her in jail? Even the plaintiffs in that case begged him not to do it, because they knew it would do great harm to their case.

On the other hand, her situation probably wasn’t going to propel an issue to the USSC. It takes a court fight to do that.
