Like we trust the Justice Department. How many will they delete?
I think we are assuming that the NYC investigators who originally found the “pertinent” emails, downloaded copies of the 650,000 emails prior to notifying FBI. I don’t know if that is legal, but the thinking is it was their investigation into Weiner’s pedophile crime so whatever they find is their jurisdiction. Now if there is a bunch of classified stuff on their, don’t know how that works for the NYC cops to have them.
But my understanding is, it is too late to be deleting emails now since people outside DOJ/FBI have a copy.
If I am totally wrong on that assumption, I am sure someone will correct me.
