You should have never had the data to begin with. How one gets classified data to a non classified place electronically blows my mind but my experience is from 25 years ago before email. The emails systems where classified data resides should be totally air gapped to non secure systems.

More years ago than I like to admit, I was one of about fifteen in a military training class. We were about to start a two week section on a secure communications device which would require access to secret documents.

The notebooks that we took class notes in were collected every day and passed out the next day. At the end of the class the notebooks were destroyed.

One of the students was actually attending the class as part of a program designed for transition to civilian life. He decided that he was no longer interested in the class and went to see the registrar.

Evidently when the registrar realized that he didn't have the proper clearance for the class he was immediately removed and that was the last we saw of him.

I think there’s a lot of confusion about this.

If Weiner’s computer and Huma’s iPhone were linked to the same account, the devices synch files and info all the time. It’s how you can get a new phone and always have your old stuff from the previous one.

Her emails, even if deleted from the account, are saved on the server/cloud. So I’m certain they found them on his computer but not because she or he used it for that purpose.

I can retrieve text messages I sent 2 years ago despite having a different device.

I contracted for the military a couple of years ago. I got a security clearance. I’ll just say that I’d have already been in BIG legal trouble if I had done what Comey said months ago that Hillary had done.

One of the comical parts was that Hillary was a SOURCE of lots of classified information, but didn’t mark the emails classified. So her argument is that since they were not marked classified, they were not classified.

Agreed. To me, it appears that Hillary gave carte blanche access to Huma, including passwords, and possibly hardware measures such as "secur-id"s (not sure if State uses those, but I'm sure they use something similar).

If it's true that Hillary granted Huma that level of access, and that access allowed Huma to move material away from secured systems, Hillary could be in a whole lot of trouble!

For one thing, it was reported that the mega data find, by NYPD investigating the sexting case, notified the NY FBI and the NY FBI sent the addresses to the Clinton Foundation investigative team in the FBI, like FIRST.

If that report was ever accurate, this may shake loose the damn Justice Department from stalling and thwarting any support for the FBI investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

That's not how it works.

Yes,I understand that once you leave the position that required/allowed you to have a clearance one would also think that your *access* to classified info ("need to know") would also dry up.The point I was trying to make (and made it badly) was that,assuming Carlos lost his clearance upon leaving the House,if he were to "accidentally" come upon classified info you'd be required to "look away" *and* take steps to report the situation to the proper authorities.Carlos would know all that.
