I am deeply concerned that we will have a constitutional crisis if shes elected. I want to learn more this week, see what we see, but as of today, I am not a supporter of the Secretary of State for the nations highest office.
With those words during my weekly program on the FOX Report, Political Insiders, I made one of the toughest and biggest decisions of my career.
As I have written so many times before, Im deeply proud of the work I did for President Bill Clinton between 1994 and 2000. We won re-election successfully in 1996 and actually worked with the other side a tradition in American politics that has now been lost. And I worked closely with Secretary Clinton, who I admire greatly.
But since Fridays announcement from FBI Director James Comey that the FBI may have found emails related to the Clinton probe on Anthony Weiners computer, the prospect of a successful Clinton presidency has been thrown into chaos.
What I mean by this is that we are staring down the barrel of a criminal investigation of President-elect Clinton. We will also be facing investigations into her top aide, Huma Abedin, who apparently forwarded emails to her shared computer with her husband, Weiner, to print and give to the former Secretary of State. And theres a very real chance that there will be investigations into the actions of the Justice Department and the FBI Director himself.
This is no way to start any presidency, let alone one after such a tumultuous campaign and eight years of hyper partisanship that has left America more divided than ever before.

I've been saying for three days now that a lot of Democrats are probably realizing that the cleanest/simplest way to deal with this problem is to have Trump win the election.
Schoen’s dis-endorsement is a pretty big deal. Democrats very rarely eat their own.
Political posturing of a Clinton henchman.
I would have given him credit, until he said he admired Hillary Clinton.
Enough said.
But will he attend if she is Hanged for Treason??
Doug reminds me of my Grandfather (a long-time local Democrat official) about two days before he sat down at his kitchen table, downed a six-pack of Rolling Rock, and announced that he was voting for Reagan.
I’ve always thought Doug Schoen got a bad rap from people around here; as Democratic operatives go, he actually seems to have a conscience. Although he remained a Hillary supporter until now, he at least understood and acknowledged why others don’t like Hillary, whereas most Democratic operatives seem to be shocked and outraged that everyone isn’t absolutely in love with Hillary.
Doug’s been hanging on by the fingernails for a while, it appeared to me. He put on a brave face, but lately he didn’t seem as confident as in the past & on panel discussions, especially one of the last ones I saw, he was content to let the others talk & they weren’t being complimentary of Hilly.
I think Schoen’s defection hurts Hilly - I really do. He’s been a stalwart for her for a long, long time regardless of what she’d done. I think the 650,000 number on the emails was the last straw and more than he could ignore & I daresay it’s going to affect others that way, especially those on the fence as to who they will vote for. Dems are praying Hilly will get a sympathy vote (that awful FBI Director, Republicans who have been after Hilly for decades, the Russians & the VRWC), but I think the stench is so strong this time, that many will not be able to stand it long enough to pull a voting lever for her (or punch a card or touch a screen).
One of the ironies here is that Schoen worked for the Clinton campaign back in 2008. This means he must know damn well that the white, working-class Democrats who were the base of her support when she ran against Obama aren’t voting for her in 2016. In fact, they now serve as the base of Donald Trump’s support.
My thoughts on Schoen aside, what you are looking at is a large segment not recognizing the legitimacy of the Federal government--not the B.S. type like we saw from Bush v. Gore, but where the normally law abiding do not recognize legitimacy. That starts getting into Ceaucescu territory.
He has to say that, whether he believes it or not. Consider it boilerplate. These aren’t private thoughts. They are public thoughts, and not unlike an opus.
Ok, but I'll take it, and Schoen has a point. If there are enough Dems who reason as he does, it'll help Trump win. We should give Schoen the thumbs up here. The fact that he remains a personal fan of HRC makes this article a powerful one.
The Sunday show in which he appears on Fox with Pat Caddell is usually worth a look.
True, as is everything that comes from the Dems, the MSM and the elite Repubs.
I was hoping that Mr. Schoen would have used the words "Constitutional Crisis" and "Hillary Clinton" in the same sentence. What he did say is close, but he could have been the first Democrat to be quoted out loud. I wonder if Dems are having back-room discussions right now about that. Hope there are some hot mics that get reported to the voters before the election.
This is hillary’s Walter Cronkite moment
Schoen is right about this.
It looks like Mika is bailing on her too.
All e-mails are confidential until the moment you hit ‘send’ Then they are free for all the world to see. Somewhere out there in cyberspace they are stored or available to sophisticated and even in some cases unsophisticated readers. The shear volume of those damn things is what amazes me. Their content has to be mind boggling. I hope Hillary can find time to review them all between showers and exercise sessions at Leavenworth.
