Comey was backed into a corner for one reason or another. My bet is he weighed all his options and his choice points to the least amount of jail time. I would bet there will be a few more jumping on to this boat, or at least trying.

I wish the talking heads on TV would stop giving Hillary the benefit of doubt. If she were the 6 year old she would have been sent to her room years ago. They need to stop giving mulligans.

I believe Comey was backed into a corner because the Weiner investigation involved law enforcement offices outside his control. Once you had the NYPD and the New York field office of the FBI involved, there was no way the Washington people could control the narrative.

For what it's worth, the senior ranks of the NYPD are probably filled with people who have a lot of loyalty to a former mayor named Rudy Giuliani, who is now one of Donald Trump's biggest supporters. Giuliani is also the former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
