That’s an exceptionally valid point made in the post you re-posted.
I’m fairly comfortable stipulating to “it’s something like that”.
But there are levels.
Assuming a whole new batch of emails have suddenly been discovered....
Is it that Huma apparently or inadvertently either hid or overlooked this storage bin of emails ALREADY KNOWN ABOUT?
(something like inadvertent obstruction of justice)
Or, is it that WITHIN this new treasure trove are items that are so bloody serious in terms of compromising nat’l security...not after months of investigation of weighing, but RIGHT NOW, on first read, are the most severe that severe can be?
THESE would be things that the HRC legal machine would want to banish from the face of the earth.
I lean towards the second thing. Somehow...the reopening of the investigation is IMO not about finding Huma’s email logs. I think it’s about overt weapons-trafficking and assassination(s) stuff that is light-years beyond red hot.

My bet is that Huma Danger-Weiner did not realize that the email were recoverable from her laptop. None of the people around Clinton seem to be tech geniuses. That goes for their IT people, too.
