As a last wild stab, maybe you could check for old door keys at a junk store or a Goodwill.
Probably buy a handful for five bucks, try ‘em to see if one (or more) fits and if nothing else you’ve got real live antiques to nail to the wall for decoration.
(Yeah, it’s kinda desperation time but I do like that good old machinery....)
