Attorney General told FBI director James Comey NOT to send letter to Congress about bureau reopening the investigation into Hillary's emails because it could influence the election outcome

Attorney General Loretta Lynch advised Comey against sending a letter to Congress about the FBI's reopened investigation into Clinton's emails She argued to Comey that he should follow the Justice Department's practice of not taking actions that could influence the election Attorney General Loretta Lynch advised and objected against FBI Director James Comey's move to send a letter to Congress to inform them about the reopening of the investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server.

Lynch argued to Comey that he should follow the Justice Department's practice of not taking actions that could influence the outcome of a presidential election, The New Yorker reported on Saturday.

Comey broke from Lynch, who objected to the move along with the Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, and independently sent the letter to Congress on Friday, dropping the bombshell about the restarted investigation based on newly discovered emails, rocking Clinton's campaign.

Comey's supporters argue that he had to break away from Lynch and act independently on the issue due to her compromising herself when she had an impromptu visit with former president Bill Clinton late into the investigation earlier this year. Comey broke away and sent a memo to bureau staffers explaining his decision to notify Congress He wrote that the FBI would not 'ordinarily' inform Congress about its ongoing investigations But said he noted he felt an 'obligation to' given that he testified repeatedly in recent months that bureau's investigation was completed On Friday, he sent a letter to eight Republican lawmakers regarding the reopened investigation - rocking Clinton's campaign

I thought Lynch recused herself and left it all up to Comey. Now she wants back in? Oh wait, her recusal was just a ploy to take the heat off her tarmac meeting with Bubba.

“Of course the Democrats will say that was “The People’s Right to Know.” “

But only when it involves people “they don’t like, or consider to be political opponents!”

Probably sending them to her mother or one of her mother's muzzie minions.

First, it is well established that the FBI is corrupt.

Commie is a dirty cop.

The Deputy Director was bought for only $500k.

Lynch has shown willing to violate laws and ethics for obola and the clintoons.

My opinion, is that Commie consulted with Lynch, who consulted with Obola. Whatever is likely to leak out has to be so damaging that Lynch and Obola signed off on this likely to protect Obola. I do not believe that the dirty cop Commie, decided at this point to go straight, rogue and turn on Lynch/Obola.

“because it could influence the election outcome”

Give her A+ for understatement. But actually I think Trump would win without Comey’s announcement.

-- I think there is a little bit more to it. This all dropped just a couple days after all the sleaze about the #2 guy at the FBI came out. --

You think Weiner Abedin's emails have material relating to that?

I certainly agree there is some "there" in all these stories, but best I can tell, Clinton has been whitewashed on the subject. I reject Comey's cover story. I think it's baloney. There is a "real reason" in there, and it has nothing to do with department integrity or keeping promises.

“This “Lynch objected” story is coming out fast and furious right now. It makes the distraction all the more compelling, and IMO, that’s what this story is designed to be, nothing more than a distraction. It has “Good cop / Bad cop” written all over.”

Uh, I find the “good cop/bad cop” interpretation to be completely bizarre. Lynch’s objection simply pours more gasoline on the fire of corruption at the DoJ. It adds another note to the symphony of doubt regarding the whole corrupt mess of Hillary, her illegal emails, her lies and corrupt self-dealings as SoS, and the lies and corruption of the obama administration.

Lynch told him not to notify Congress. Comey did so anyway.

Maybe Comey read his job resume?

That Comey sent a letter to Congress about reopening Hillary's email case is a ringing endorsement of the power of the people.

The nation was stunned at the Comey decision not to indict. Americans everywhere expressed disappointment in the FBI. Normal L/E steps to investigate the matter were woefully inadequate....even non-existent.

Congress musta been swamped w/ complaints.

Reopening the case is a good start. Comey knows everybody is listening.

A new Wikileaks email revealed Hillary Clinton confidant, Phillipe Reines, discussed deleting emails despite knowing it was against the law.

Clinton later deleted over 33,000 subpoenaed emails.

Reines discusses strategies they can "use…as the excuse" for not turning over all her emails despite receiving a subpoena......

MEMO TO COMEY ......this shows intentionality - well above recklessness....

It would be interesting to see if Comey ends up dead or fired in a few days.

This is a soap opera.

There is going to be a revolt in this country if Hillary wins.

Comey's playing the role of the good cop, letting the little people know that the FBI is above reproach. Lynch is the bad cop, trying to hide things from the little people.

Yes. It leads immediately to the question "Ok, Mrs. Lynch, what sort of things are you hiding about other members of your administration?"

Of course that question would be asked if Lynch was a man, looked like Ed Meese, and was AG for a Republican president.
