My initial thought
When a guy talks this nonsense you know: a) he thinks someone is covering his back, b) someone is subsidizing his life / paying his bills and / or he's a little too comfortable, c) he thinks he someone of importanceand , d) is about to get taken down a notch but is too stupid to know it.
He's already started his descent; he just doesn't know it yet.

Something like this proverbially begs to be French revolutioned.
Being good, civil Americans we don’t want to use actual guillotines, but we would highly welcome the naming and shaming of those who brought us ill, remembering too that some of us were traveling in that direction too.
As the bible says, flog a mocker and the simple will learn wisdom.
