At the time I posted my theory #4, I was unaware of the fact that NYPD had the original jurisdiction for Weiner's pedophilia case. Duh, I should have known that. Theory #4 assumed lower level agents not being closely supervised stumbled onto something that they weren't supposed to, and Comey then panicked and reopened the investigation.
The reality Theory #4 is even better. The people who stumbled onto something weren't Feebs at all. They were NYPD.
Personally, all of the theories on that thread (except #3, that the DOJ finally was shamed into doing something) are probably in play to varying degrees.
I agree with someone elsewhere on this thread that wikileaks has had all 33,000 emails all along, and the NSA has known that they have them. The big problem for The Clinton Global Crime Family now is they can't just jump up and down screaming "The Russians! The Russians!" because clearly some NYPD detectives have seen some things that will corroborate wikileaks when/if the Hillary email dumps begin.
