BREAKING: Attorney General Lynch ‘Pleads Fifth’ on Secret Iran ‘Ransom’ Payments
Washington Free Beacon ^ | 10/28/2016 | Adam Kredo

Posted on 10/28/2016 12:00:57 PM PDT by Steven W.

Attorney General Loretta Lynch is declining to comply with an investigation by leading members of Congress about the Obama administration’s secret efforts to send Iran $1.7 billion in cash earlier this year, prompting accusations that Lynch has “pleaded the Fifth” Amendment to avoid incriminating herself over these payments, according to lawmakers and communications exclusively obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

It does to me too. ne FReeper said early on that it looks Isaiah's verse of "No weapon formed against you shall prosper". And it sure looks that way.
  1. The violence at Trump rallies has backfired big time on the democrats. With them being caught red handed bragging about their dirty tricks.
  2. The race card hasn't worked against him. He's making inroads to minorities more than any other GOP in decades.
  3. The violation of campaign laws is coming back to bite the democrats both for illegal coordination and accepting illegal donations.
  4. The sex allegations haven't stuck, and Trump was able to turn it around and point out the Clintons are far worse. I wouldn't be surprised to find out the truth on those coming back to bite the Clintons as well.
  5. Even the one natural advantage that you would think Hillary would have, which is experience, Trump turns around on her and points out it's "bad experience".
  6. The whole vast left wing conspiracy has been laid bare.

Anytime Congress is involved you can count on nothing being done...aside from their usual blather that is.

the only way a public official should be allowed to take the fifth the is if they resign and then they should not be allowed to hold public office for X amount of years if ever.

“My hat’s off to him. Trump really didn’t need all this aggravation.”

Yes, but if he pulls it off he’ll be the most powerful man in the world.

She admitted her guilt by pleading the fifth.

I know FReepers are famous for commenting on articles we haven’t actually read, but a lot of the people here didn’t even read the post.

Lynch didn’t “plead the Fifth”. She merely declined to answer questions posed by some Congressmen. Executive privilege, and all that.

Attorney General Lynch 'Pleads Fifth'

The text didn't say that. It said, "...prompting accusations that Lynch has "pleaded the Fifth" Amendment..."

I'm not sure what these weasel words mean. I don't think I'd bet the bank on this just yet.

I don’t know what the legal path is, but the only logical end game of all these various developments (not a surprise to regular readers of this and other sources) is mass arrest and trial of all concerned. Obama should not be able to pardon anybody effective immediately. I assume this would require emergency acts of Congress, so what I have to wonder at this point is, how soon can everyone get to DC?

Cut the legs out from under any coup that they might try as a last gasp to avoid their fates. This goes for the whole crop, not just Clintons. It is basically one vast criminal and apparently treasonous conspiracy. All that’s missing is full realization, that is sure to come within days.

“Would any of this be happening if JEB was the nominee?”

Heh heh ... I was going to joke around and say “yes”, but there’s absolutely no way it would have happened :-).

If this would have somehow unfolded during a Jeb campaign, he would have suspended his campaign to go and help Hillary get through this while assuring the public that she did nothing wrong and that this is all about nothing.

It’s illegal for the government to pay ransom so this is a legitimate target for big time congressional oversight. At least before the era of Obama.

How can the chief law enforcement officer of the United States take the 5th amendment and remain in office. This is a disgrace.

She should be impeached immediately!!

So eventually some of this stuff is gonna lead back to Zero. If he pardons a bunch of these scumbags and later is found guilty himself, do his pardons stick or are they nullified?

I don’t even think we have to assume. THe fifth amendment protects against self-incrimination. SHe’s guilty. Needs incarceration, until the hanging that is.
