If Donald Trump were president, there'd be a lot more places like D.G. Yuengling & Son, the Pottsville, Schuylkill County-based brewing company.
So said Eric Trump, son of the Republican Party nominee for president, Monday during a whistle-stop tour of Yuengling's brewery in East Norwegian Township.

Tuesday October 25, 2016 12:01 AM Trump son tours Yuengling brewery in Schuylkill County By Ron Devlin EAST NORWEGIAN TOWNSHIP, PA If Donald Trump were president, there'd be a lot more places like D.G. Yuengling & Son, the Pottsville, Schuylkill County-based brewing company.
So said Eric Trump, son of the Republican Party nominee for president, Monday during a whistle-stop tour of Yuengling's brewery in East Norwegian Township. TODAY'S SPONSOR:
"This is an amazing American success story," Trump said during a brief news conference at the brewery. "We need a lot more of these." Escorted by Richard "Dick" Yuengling Jr., the fifth-generation scion of the oldest brewer in America, Trump toured the brewery with a small group that included Schuylkill County GOP leaders. News reporters were excluded from the tour of the plant. Trump's visit, which lasted about 45 minutes, was part of a daylong tour of central and northeastern Pennsylvania. Earlier, Trump visited the state Capitol and spoke to a Fraternal Order of Police lodge in Harrisburg. Later Monday, he was to speak to a four-county gathering of Republican leaders in Scranton. Analysts say that winning Pennsylvania, a battleground state, is critical to Donald Trump winning the Nov. 8 presidential election. Eric Trump predicted his father would win Pennsylvania based on a message that resonates with workers like those at Yuengling, a long established business that has been in Schuylkill County since 1829. "Because of a great company like Yuengling," Trump said, "workers can educate their kids and live a prosperous lifestyle." Trump said high taxes, over-regulation and Obamacare are "destroying" American businesses - a familiar theme of the Trump campaign. "My father's going to make it a lot easier for business to function," he declared. "We're going to do it right here in the U.S." Dick Yuengling welcomed Trump, thanking him for taking the time to visit the brewery. "Our guys are behind your father," Yuengling said. "We need him in there."
Not a Yuengling fan either, don't drink much beer nowadays anyway.
Rolling Rock was my favorite also, esp those little bottles. Unique flavor.
Bought out by some big conglomerate and now make a bland 'same as the rest' product.
I will be buying Yuengling in the future.
Yuengling Traditional Lager is my go-to beer. Not watery at all. Has a pleasing hoppy smoothness that suggests its German roots. Its name is an Americanization of the German name “Jungling” which is translated as “youth.” Rarely results in a hangover. Not expensive. What else you want?
I bought my first six-pack of their brew yesterday. Pretty good. Reminds me of Heinken, which I like but cannot drink.
Does Yuengling make a dark beer?
From the name I always thought they were chinamen; you know, like Tsingtao.
Now I know I was wrong!
We can get it in Memphis.
Not much of a beer drinker these days, but I’ll be getting Yuengling lite which is also pretty good as far as lite beers go.
Yes they have a lite beer.
I wish they’d use the brown bottle for lager. Green bottles allow beer to go skunk easier. Something with the way light passes through.
