October 26th, 2016 – Trump supporters at Pitt got more than they bargained for outside of Hillman Library today, where an aggrieved student flipped a table with Trump campaign merchandise.
Beginning around noon, Matt Kerlin, an unpaid volunteer for the Trump campaign and a student at the University of Pittsburgh, set about engaging students walking to and from class on the Hillman Library sidewalk on Bigelow Boulevard.
Distributing stickers, koozies, and literature, Kerlin was relieved to have attracted many fellow students who pledged to vote Trump. Many students were also relieved to finally have Trump represented on campus amongst the Hillary Clinton campaign and NextGen Climate tables that frequented campus sidewalks.
Surely enough, Kerlin and fellow tabling participants were met with remarks by students such as “f*uck the white male patriarchy!” and “I can’t believe you guys are actually people.” Shortly following, students began to behave aggressively.
“A student came up to us and made a claim about how Trump wants to get rid of “his people”, Kirk Breiner, a Sophomore and tabling participant told The Pitt Maverick.
Kerlin and Breiner were approached and harassed by a man claiming that the table was supporting a “racist” candidate. The man grabbed a stack of door-hanger literature and attempted to run off with them, but Kerlin relinquished the literature unharmed after being stopped a few feet away, though not before the perpetrator nearly initiated a fight with him.
“We responded by telling him that that’s absolutely ridiculous, and then he got agitated and grabbed a stack of literature from our table and ran off with it,” Breiner said.
According to Kerlin and Briener, at approximately 2pm, actions escalated. Two students approached the table, one of them sweeping all the literature to the ground and the other proceeding to flip it before fleeing the scene. Steven Evanovich, a Sophomore at Pitt, captured a video of the student and then proceeded to contact campus police, who are investigating the incident.
“It’s a shame that different opinions are met with such hostility at institutions of higher learning,” Evanovich told The Pitt Maverick.
“Calling Trump’s rhetoric “hate speech” actually reinforces and encourages the notion that violence against conservative or dissenting students is justified, and my own campus shouldn’t be a place where my friends or I are fearful for having opposing opinions.”

I’ll tell you what they’ll do if Hillary wins - it will get worse, much worse. If Trump wins, they will explode but the backlash will send them scurrying for their dens for a few years and things will be not as bad. Vote Trump.
Get more violent. Until they meet people willing to respond in kind...
Doesn’t the Univ of Pittsburgh have any safe spaces?
Pittsburgh used to be an nice city. I wouldn’t want to be there after dark (or at all) now. It’s all ghettos. On top of that the thugs have moved into the suburbs — in the east at least. I’m not sure about the south and north though, but I imagine they’re just as bad. Fortunately the airport is well outside of the city so you can avoid the trouble when flying in or out.
My doctor wanted me to see a specialist in town last year. I responded with a very unambiguous h*ll no!

As for me, I talk a big game, but if my first four or five hay makers don’t knock the guy out, i’ll be exhausted and in trouble!! :)
They will go for scorched earth literally to make a Trump administration total chaos . This will be paid for by money from the DNC while the Republican party Establishment will aid them by not supporting or defending his administration.
The Democrats will encourage violence the MSM will down play any attacks on Republicans while proclaiming any acts of self defense to be racist vigilantes running wild .

My son is a freshman at Pitt.
He said about 75% of his floor is voting Trump. The rest said they aren’t voting at all.
Hillary’s campaign has had tables up on campus for the last month, but no one ever seems to stop at them, from what he’s seen.
He changed his registration to his school address and will be voting on the 8th. My daughter will be driving home from college that day, specifically to vote.
A taste of the future.
