A “boys’ weekend” of golf with Tiger Woods in 2013 was fun for President Obama, but it was a triple-bogey for taxpayers.
The Government Accountability Office reported Wednesday that the departments of Defense and Homeland Security spent more than $3.6 million in travel costs and other expenses for Mr. Obama’s getaway weekend with Mr. Woods and other golf partners at an exclusive resort in Florida.
The audit said the costs included operation of Air Force One, which costs about $200,000 per hour of flight, plus a virtual squadron of “supporting aircraft and U.S. Coast Guard small boats,” as well as per diem and other travel expenses for an unspecified number of Pentagon and DHS personnel required to support the president’s golf weekend.
The military transport aircraft needed for the golfing weekend included a $200 million C-17 Globemaster and the C-5 Super Galaxy, which departed from various U.S. Air Force bases and arrived at Joint Base Andrews or Marine Corps Base Quantico “to transport Secret Service personnel and vehicles and Marine Corps personnel and helicopters to support the trip before returning to their air bases of origin,” the report said.

Obama’s eight years were overwhelmingly more expensive than his extravagant golf outing. Additional debt under the communist usurper totals 2,500,000 times as much, all for fraud, waste, and abuse. In comparison to the crippling burden on our children, it’s hard to notice a few million dollars wasted so that a bigoted loser can socialize with another celebrity.
As recently as Harry S Truman, US presidents were expected to pay for their own vacations and holidays.
After Eisenhower was sworn in, Harry drove himself back to his home in Missouri, and paid for his own gas along the way. Hillary doesn’t even know how to drive.
This is the kind of stuff that the MSM could - if they hated Obama or Hillary the way they hate Trump - drop on a daily basis, they way they dump some anti-Trump item every day, often very old and unconfirmed items. But they pretend that there is nothing like this to report, and thus proclaim the Obama administration “scandal free.”
The cracka taxpayers are on the hook, so its all good! Slavery and all, ya know. Reparations!

Yes, the plane trip to Florida to see Tiger Woods could have just as easily been done at Camp David.
It’s indicative of his lack of respect for taxpayers.
But the big one is $10 trillion added to the national debt and the growth rate only 1% a year. It’s horrendous.
Yep, and it’s not just this fiasco by bambam, it’s the constant taking advantage of the office by he and moose.
I have often thought that perhaps the superficial resemblance (and it is superficial) is one of the reasons behind the mystery of how this Urkel-like nerd manages to carry off the charismatic act he thrives on in his campaigning. Many probably think, subconsciously, wow he’s sort of like a Tiger Woods of politics.
When actually he’s more of a ____ ____ of politics (there is no golfer you ever heard of that would quite work there and I don’t want to insult anybody).
Anyway, that was then, this is now. Now we have somebody who can’t even fake charisma, it will be interesting to see how many votes are cast aside on that premise because otherwise I see no real differences from that party, just the freeway to oblivion.
