If this is true, it is intolerable. I heard some mention of this a few months ago, then it dropped off the radar. I can’t see any legal justification for handing over the proceeds from fines over to favored activist groups. This would seemingly be an illegal and unauthorized disbursement of government funds without legislative approval. Is this yet one more situation where our vaunted “adversarial media” are covering for the Obama administration?

In a normal world it would be called embezzling. We bail out the banks to the tune of trillions of dollars then the DOJ shakes them down and siphons off their cut. The MOB is a fairer form of government at this point.

Yes, it is an illegal disbursement. Not a peep from congress.

Congress has become an institution without a purpose beyond reelection of its members. It is why I’ll sit out the congressional portion of the election. When it actually acts, congress typically gives the patina of legitimacy to tyranny.
