Baltimore City States Attorney is calling for major changes in investigations of police misconduct.
States Attorney Marilyn Mosby pushes reforms for officer misconduct cases, including granting her office arrest powers. Do her proposals go too far or do they fix a broken justice system?
Mosby wants the power to limit officers from choosing bench trialsafter the strategy proved successful for the officers she charged in Freddie Grays death. Its one of several changes the states attorney is asking for in police misconduct cases.

Was she the one who wanted to give the ghetto scum room to destroy? Where was the Justice Dept on that one?
Wonder what would have happened if it had been a bunch of Klansmen tearing up Mobile and the white DA had said the same? Reckon the Justice Dept might have had something to say about that?

She should be disbarred, at the very minimum.

When she got up on that pedestal and told the thugs who just looted, trashed and burned the city “WE STAND WITH YOU”, right there she should have been immediately removed from office and then disbarred. But in the world of Democraps, this is perfectly acceptable.

That was the mayor. This is the Prosecutor that falsely arrested the police for, among other charges, false arrest. Oh the irony. Exceptionally weak case based upon even weaker evidence.
This concept of denying a bench trial is again rather poorly conceived. The first problem is denying police officers the rights afforded to all other citizens. The second problem is being a prosecutor and implying that the judiciary isn't able to make just decisions. That will not play well with judges. What Ms. Mosby wants is mob rule so she doesn't have to actually prove a case.

She wants to be able to try cops with the clamouring for vengeance mob (aka Baltimore city jurors) chosen to sit in judgement.

I’ve been binge-watching the collected episodes of “The Wire,” which is set in Baltimore. The steamy politics of the show, which ran from 2002 to 2008, were predictive of what we see in Baltimore now. It is eerie.
