If you havent read the latest book on Pre-suasion by professor Robert Cialdini, a persuasion expert, let me detail below how the mainstream media is actively deploying pre-suasion tricks in order to secure a Clinton win. Or rather, how they intend to make the American people comply with a rigged election. Dilbert creator Scott Adams, himself a persuasion expert, also believes professor Cialdini has been helping the Clinton campaign.
Besides, as Cialdini writes, something of this scale has been done before. In order to win the peoples support for continued wars in the Middle East, the establishment media decided to make use of embedded journalists who lived with the troops. Rather than reporting on policy, 93% of their stories focused on the soldiers perspective, e.g. on how well-fed and well-equipped they were. Such stories then received 71% of front-page war coverage. As a result, these positive stories primed readers to favor the US Army and its wars more positively as well.
The goal of pre-suasion, however, is not to immediately persuade people, but rather to secure their compliance with ones requests. For example, securing tax payers compliance with funding more wars. Since Clinton might lose the popular vote this election, before simply handing her the presidency, the establishment first has to make a Clinton win believable. So, establishment powers have resorted to pre-suasion, the things we tell people before we try to persuade them. Cialdini explains, what we present first changes the way people experience what we present to them next.
Below, Ill give three real-world examples of pre-suasion that are currently being deployed by the mainstream media to rig a Clinton win.
Example I: Sex Attacks In order to discredit Trumps character, the establishment wants to persuade people that Trump has attacked women sexually. However, since Trump has never been accused of sexual harassment before he decided to run for president, the media first needs to pre-suade the people otherwise:
release a video of Trumps braggadocios locker room talk, namely one in which he speaks of forcibly kissing women and groping them; make people sympathetic to the idea Trump might be a sexual predator by giving the video plenty of media exposure; pay women to come forward with fake stories of sexual harassment. Importantly, note that all women involved claim to have either been kissed or groped, fitting the scripted narrative as per step 1. As a result, many millions of people now believe Trump is a serial Bill Clinton, despite that none of the victims have reported Trump to the authorities.
Example II: Fake Polls What if Hillary actually loses the popular vote? The only way to get her into office then would be to rig the elections, but the American people might revolt against such obvious manipulation. Therefore, establishment powers first have to make a Clinton win believable:
rig the polls, simply by polling a mostly pro-Hillary demographic, while ignoring likely Trump supporters (in other words, the polls arent scientific); use the outcome of fake polls to push the Hillary is winning narrative; even if Hillary loses the popular vote, fake exit polls will still convince people otherwise. Now the establishment can successfully rig the elections without having to fear a popular revolt, perhaps by using Soros-backed voting machines. Anyone still saying Clinton rigged the elections is a conspiracy theorist.
Example III: Russian Hacks While it is entirely plausible that Russians are constantly trying to hack the United States, the suggestion that Russians hacked into two US voter databases comes off as slightly fabricated. Especially since immediately thereafter the Secretary of Homeland Security expressed a need to seize control of the nations election systems.
But whether true or not, Russias alleged involvement offers a mightily useful pretext for yet another, still ongoing pre-suasion scheme:
since Trump has already given Russia and Putin too much praise, blame Trump for Russia hacking the DNC and US elections; keep pushing the Russia is hacking the election narrative until people find it believable; in case Trump wins the election in a landslide, blame Russian hackers and have Homeland Security hand Hillary Clinton the presidency by Obamas last decree.
I’ve read Cialdini’s work.
Trump has too... he’s a master of social proof and other tactics that in my opinion can be used for evil or good.
I see Freepers all down after listening MSM on TV. It works!
But people see the Trump crowds and get happy and excited and remember again what’s real.
It’s more difficult to persuade, or pre-suade, when the target knows what’s going on.
I think there is a limit to the effect. If one is starting from Neutral persuasion is essential in negotiation. Especially rational persuasion. Starting at Hillary ain’t neutral. Smearing Trump down to Hillary has not worked. Lying polls that say it has does not help. This kind of persuasion becomes snake oil salesman at this level. Contempt is the only effect selling snake oil generate. People may still have a little respect for the snake but no sympathy at all for the salesman.
This is why the media went into meltdown mode when Trump said that he would wait and see if there was evidence of fraud before he accepted the outcome of the election. This blew a whole in their gas lighting voters with fake polls.
That would surely evoke a reaction that will not set well with voters, and may even produce catastrophic reactions. Then Obama would call for Martial Law and remain as President.
Would the U.S. military then move against the President and this administration?
Screws to Cialdini. I’d rather read Dilbert or S. Adams, any day of the week, though Sunday are better, Dilly’s in color! Yay!
Dem Party / Goebbels psyops bump for later.....
1. Take control of all major information media.
2. Say whatever you want.
3. Ignore or ridicule other points of view.
The Clinton campaign’s “persuasion science” is not rocket science.
Very interesting. Thanks for posting. Another name I had not heard of, Cialdini.
Speaking of psyops...”Beyond Freedom and Dignity”

What Skinner box are you in?
What all of the recent Cialdini “persuasion” articles are missing is: What good is your “persuasion” of you can’t get your message out in the first place?
I suppose it’s easier to be a “master persuader” when you control the communication channels. When every MSM media outlet lies on behalf of Clinton and refuses to report anti-Clinton messages, wikileaks, the O’Keefe videos, I would not say that Clinton is a better persuader than Trump. However I would say that the election is “rigged”.

4. Create a pliant electorate through two/three generations of progressive schooling,
There have always been wolves who want to devour us; but before c. 1992, there was never such a receptive audience. The school system has played a huge rule in creating the electorate that supports an Obama or a Hillary.
Perhaps today's youth are getting more of their information from the Internet than from schools: Trump would win big, if teens could vote.
they're playing with fire. If they are manipulating the "masses" and are able to "rule without the consent of the masses" it's only a matter of time before the basest of their group starts aggressively attacking the majority.
the "reaction" is always worse than the "action" and conservative revolt is always worse than "progressive" revolt.
With a large enough populace of unemployed and underemployed men, with a significant percentage of military experience, the conflicts will be sudden and violent.
We are FAR FAR FAR from that type of conflict. We are to fat, fed and distracted. I hope he's read some history because it never ends well for those that oppose the majority and those that helped the oppressors. For examples the French Revolution, overthrow of Mussolini, Romania..etc.
There is no reason to lose to these sociopaths. They are entirely predictable. If a crime can be committed, they will commit it. One must always presume.
bkmk
There certainly can be limits to the effect of persuasion... because we are bombarded with so much and people are skeptical.
However, I don’t think Hilary can pull of any of the Cialdini tactics at all... where are his 6 principles of influence and how Trump has undermined Hilary’s already limited ability to execute them.
1. Reciprocation.
This is the foundation of the Democrat machine... money for votes. However, Trump has undermined this in an amazing way by discussing broken promises to our vets and the unemployed in favor of foreign governments and ‘refugees’ who are happy to kill us... When Trump points out that Hilary has had 30 years in government and we still have all these problems it undermines her ability to demonstrate value worthy of reciprocation.
2. Social Proof
When Trump has 20,000 show up in Tampa... and Hillary doesn’t have 10% of that two days later... It’s massive social proof for Trump.
3. Commitment and Consistency
Trumps appeal to basically dramatically change politics as usual has the potential to resonate with anyone who has complained about Washington for the last 20 years... from Tea Party Activists to Independents who have just stayed home... It’s why Paul Ryan is massively unpopular with Republicans and Conservatives. If you can’t support your party’s nominee... but you can FUND Planned Parenthood... something isn’t consistent.
4. Liking
A lot of people have liked Donald Trump for a long time. People always liked Bill more than Hillary.
5. Authority
Hillary should have a huge advantage here... but when Trump opens a hotel in DC under budget and two years ahead of schedule it’s a big deal. Also... the fact that Hillary isn’t really hitting the trail undermines her authority as compared to Trump who is appearing in front of 50K people a day.
I think his Social Proof... overwhelms her past authority. You can’t pull rank if you don’t show up... also when you play the victim card in the debates claiming to be stalked or whatever... it undermines Hillary’s ability to play this card.
Scarcity
When people open their mail and see that ObamaCare is going to cost them an extra $4000-$8000... the promise to repeal it and by implication give people that money back is HUUUUGE. People care about having money taken from them... Trump might want to pitch ObamaCare as Hillary’s giant secret tax increase on everyone who works in the country.
All in all... Hillary doesn’t have any of the tools to execute Cialdini’s tactics.
