Sounds like hate crimes to me and definitely not the same Berkeley I first encountered in the 70s while in the Navy or a few years later as an undergrad at a nearby school. What a shame.

They did this at UC Santa Cruz two years ago and almost every one of the people linked together, spanning Highway 1 went to jail FOR MONTHS.

This reminds me of one of my favorite Reagan stories.
When he was Governor of California, he espoused strict merit for selection at the state schools. One of his aides said, “But, Governor, if we did that Berkeley would be 75% Asian.” To which Reagan replied, “So?”
Clearly, that attitude has been abandon in favor of the racial spoils system.
Yes, expulsion works quite nicely. Let the snowflakes move back with mommy & daddy, work a minimum wage job, and attend community college. Save the parents a mountain of cash.

And they’ll be at the public trough all their worthless lives, after getting a worthless social justice degree that will get them into an affirmative action government job.
