Why weren’t these machines checked to see if they were in working order BEFORE the election began?

Whoever is running the show needs to be sacked.

And that’s if the glitches were just innocent malfunctions.

If it was deliberate, the Texas prisons need a few more inmates.

Have the polls open on election day , one minute past midnight and open till 7pm. That way it gives all who want a vote to vote and reduces the voter fraud, along with ID.

Have paper ballots and let them be counted by poll watchers.

Systemic flaws. We have mostly VOLUNTEERS working these elections, which happen relatively infrequently, and so no skills or expertise are solidified to any degree. That, and the turnover from new election workers each election is a recipe for incompetence. It's like hiring new employees at your company every week.

One more argument for privatizing elections with PROFESSIONALS, who are audited every step of the way by third parties, and who know their stuff going in.
