Campaigning together for the first time in weeks, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her running-mate Tim Kaine stopped in Philadelphia Saturday night, where they told a crowd that it's time to turn attention to down-ballot races - particularly that of Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Katie McGinty.

Speaking to a crowd of more than 7,000 on a particularly blustery October night on the University of Pennsylvania's campus, Clinton's focus on down-ballot races marked a new direction in her campaign

Wow - thousands on the Penn right next to Drexel campus - in just about downtown Philadelphia - potential for tens of thousands - gobs of millennial students looking for lots of freebies - not very impressive turnout - and she didn’t sound confident at all to me - strident, hectoring, irritated with the rage barely contained - she’s in trouble.....

Some churches every Sunday have bigger congregations than that puny crowd.

Its late October and Hillary is campaigning for her own base to turn out - in a heavily Democratic city?

If PA was really a lock for her, she’d be down in AZ, TX and GA trying to wrest those states from Trump.

She’s campaigning defensively - that’s not a sign of confidence - just the opposite.

Hillary isn’t expanding her base. She had all summer to do it and she’s still struggling.

No matter how much her lapdog media covers for her.

GHW Bush won PA in 1988.

That drought is about to come to end in November.

Candidate Of Safe Spaces.

Trump was right when he said the only large crowd she got was at Cardinal Dolan’s dinner - stacked by the way with the liberal upper crust of New York society.

She simply can’t connect with people outside her Hamptons circle.

Without that, she has scant chance of winning the election.

“Hillary seems to be on the defensive. The Washington Post story about expanding the electoral map was bogus.”

That WaPo story claimed they blew $1.5M in Texas. That’s not all that much.

I think a lot of this disinformation is to repress cash donations to Republicans personally. If they sell the narrative that Trump is done for, lots of people are going to believe it.

The thing those idiots don’t get is how ‘yuge’ the entire movement is ... while those tactics may work somewhat, they’re not working like they used to.

Finally, I 100% agree that she’s on the defensive campaigning in Philadelphia. She needed the optics. Going to a large city was the only way she was going to get a crowd that was more than 32 or 33 lifeforms (of which, maybe six are human).

What’s telling is only her hardcore supporters are showing up to hear her.

No one else cares. People are just not into her.

There’s no enthusiasm for her even among Democrats in the twilight of her campaign.

Stick a fork in her effort - Hillary is done.

I remember,a story about her and Huma early in the primaries stopping at a diner in Ohio (I think) and she had the worst time meeting the little people and eating her hot dog. She HATES little people while,Trump thrives on everyday folk.

Yup.

Even Lurch made an effort to hang out with the masses.

For Hillary, that’s a bridge too far to cross.

It was a Chipotle in Maurmee, OH. She went in incognito so she didn't even have to say "hi" to the hoi-polloi. She successfully avoided having to do that obnoxious, fake pointing, smiling, and single finger-wave thing at people in the audience that she ostensibly knows, too.

Listen...when I saw that that Hillary Clinton and her VP partner, Tim Kaine were campaigning in Pittsburgh & Philadephia. Pennsylvania yesterday, I said to myself, they are worried that Pennsylvania will be won by Donald J. Trump which it will be!!! The two rallies Clinton & Kaine had are dwarfed and overtaken enmass by the growing & continuing massive political rallies of both Donald J. Trump & Mike Spence!!! Go Trump & Spence....The American people are with you!!! Onward to POTUS & VP victory!!!

She proposed free kindergarten and free college and take care of the teachers, all at the tax payer's expense.

Public school already graduates about 85% of the HS grads and not a one votes.

They have no political compass and they are neither Republican nor Democrat.

By indoctrination, they're socialists and they have no guts to fight a good fight ... they will allow America to die.

It was more of a bogus headline than a story. Even in the article, half the Dem operatives were saying they probably weren’t going to do the expansion thing because of concerns Trump could catch up. So half the Dems were being honest, half were lying and they based the headline on the lies.
