Campaigning together for the first time in weeks, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her running-mate Tim Kaine stopped in Philadelphia Saturday night, where they told a crowd that it's time to turn attention to down-ballot races - particularly that of Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Katie McGinty.
Speaking to a crowd of more than 7,000 on a particularly blustery October night on the University of Pennsylvania's campus, Clinton's focus on down-ballot races marked a new direction in her campaign

7000? Seriously?
There’s a lot of stupid out there.
A Democrat candidate campaigning in Philly with 2 weeks to go? I guess she decided not to expand the map as WaPo suggested a few days ago.
Let me guess? A ‘Get out the vote’event, Class credit for attending, and a Rock or Rap star appearance.
doesn’t look like 7000
It’s really hard to tell how many where there from the few pictures they have online. Given the fact that Philadelphia is a mostly democrat city, and Penn State has a student body of about 25,000, a crowd of 7,000 is really nothing to write home about, especially at this late date. It is really hard to tell how many people were there from the few pictures they ran. Since the media usually exaggerates rallies and demonstration that they support, and downplay those that they don’t support, I’m betting that the actual crowd size was maybe 3 or 4,000.
If she is in Philly campaigning it means she is in trouble. If she had as big a lead as the media has portrayed, she would not be in Philly as PA would have been a lock for her.
Yeah, that’s puzzling to me too. She already has those votes “stolen” in Philadelphia. Are the Clintonistas afraid they need more legit votes to combine with the stolen votes to get her over in Pennsylvania? She’s not running as a confident candidate who has the race in the bag.
“A Democrat candidate campaigning in Philly with 2 weeks to go? “
Bingo.
Bush never won Pennsylvania. Trump doesn’t need it.
Hillary seems to be on the defensive. The Washington Post story about expanding the electoral map was bogus.
They are spinning it as “helping the down ballot races” but she could help the down ballot races anywhere. Toomey is on her side anyway.
Uh, Penn . . . not Penn State. Butm the fact that she was at an Ivy League college tells you all you need to know. Easy there to assemble sizeable crowd of liberal students.
Why is the Wicked Witch wearing a bedspread???
Looking at the picture it looks like your estimate: 3-4k
LOL...she has to retreat to the favorite Democrat safe space - a university or a high school. Sure, she’ll get the young skulls full of mush and the professors (but I repeat myself). Trump doesn’t go to universities — he goes to regular venues and attracts huge crowds of normal, everyday Americans who work for a living, pay sky-high taxes, and are SICK of the American Nomenklatura / Intelligentsia disdainfully telling us what schlubs we are.
The venue only holds 5700 so they are lying again.
Worse. Herself can’t get crowds anywhere else that can be legitimately (ick) reported as twice the size. Seriously.
LOL 500 at best
Very true. Hillary is an elitist who can’t campaign among real working people.
The only decent crowds she’s gotten so far have been on college campuses. Built in audience. No one would ever go out if their way and drive, park, etc to see this witch.
