It could be convincingly argued that those who smoke should pay more for health insurance.Ditto those who are overweight.It can also be argued that those who don't wear seat belts should pay more for car insurance.

And yes,even I...who am a few pounds overweight...can see paying at least a little more for a plane ticket if you're overweight,just as you pay more if your *bags* are overweight.

And although I've never experienced it myself I've read stories of passengers who were so huge that they spill over into the seats next to them making people in those seats particularly miffed.They should be required to buy two seats.

The dirty little secret in the health insurance industry is that smokers are cheaper because they don't live as long.

But if that were common knowledge the state couldn't charge exorbitant taxes from tobacco "settlements."
