On Thursdays broadcast of CNN Newsroom, CNN Pentagon Correspondent Barbara Starr reported that Democratic presidential nominee former Secretary of State Hillary Clintons statement about the time it takes to launch nuclear weapons is extremely classified, and while there is a lot of information available to public on what the process is for launching nuclear weapons, if you know information to be classified, and youre a government official, even if its in the open source, even if its on the Internet, you are not supposed to disclose it.
She further stated, the bottom line is, the US military, not especially thrilled to be discussing in precise detail what it takes to launch nuclear weapons.

No it isn’t classified. As usual, CNN gets it wrong.
Clinton dumb & dumber
I’m relatively certain that the Clintons sold this information to all of our enemies the first time they were in the WhiteHouse, so this shouldn’t be a big deal.
In the unlikely event that they don’t already know, Hillary will be furious to have given them the info at no charge.
The nuke launch time is not classified? Do you have a source or are you just repeating the dailykos talking point?
The alleged 4 minute window between the command and response to nuke is general knowledge? Doubtful.
Coincidence? :)
CyberAnt was on this post in less than a minute. :)
Takes a lot longer than 4 minutes to launch nukes when there’s a Clinton in the WH. Buzz Patterson’s book on Bubba’s term revealed he’d ditched the aide with the nuclear football more than once. And, IIRC, he lost his pocket card with the codes and didn’t tell anyone for months. I don’t worry about Trump firing off when he shouldn’t. I do worry about not being able to fire under a Clinton when we need to.
So much for the four minute window! :)
LOL
Check this out, from 7 September, on Mayor Doomberg’s site:

How much of that is classified?
Well then you'd think that the military brass wouldn't be perturbed by it.
One thing for sure: if Donald Trump had done this, it would be broadcast 24/7/365 on every Media outlet. They'd be calling for him to step down again.
The double standard and hypocrisy is breathtaking.
The Revolution is ON!
Vote Trump!
I thought it was going to be Kenneth Starr when I saw the headline! LOL! I hope he gets to finish what he started 20 years ago.
Here's the deal. The bottom line on nuclear weapons is... that when the President gives the order, it must be followed. There's about 4 minutes between the order being given and the people responsible for launching nuclear weapons to do so.
Who does CyberAnt work for?
I’m kind of a missle buff and have toured several launch control facilities, and this came as new information to me. As someone said, some information about our missle defense is unclasisfied, but obviously a lot is not.
I don’t know the screen name(s) but there is at least one former USAF missle commander on FR who could settle this in a heartbeat.
I think this question is important enough for you to post a vanity, seeking out any FReeper who is qualified to answer it.
Vote Trump!
I am shocked that CNN actually covered this.
