The whole gay thing is one area where I do not expect Trump to pursue a “conservative agenda.” I expect “states’ rights” to be about as far as he would go.

That’s okay. Not everything is the President’s job.

What gay activists ought to be afraid of is Democrats who will use “gay rights” as a weapon with which to shut down churches, church-related charities, etc. They have already shut down Catholic adoption agencies, Christian-owned businesses, etc. There is far more likely to be a backlash against extremist Democrats than against non-extreme versions of “gay rights.”

Gay activists ought to be concerned about the Muslim conquest of the U.S. They aren’t. Instead, they have hitched their wagon to the pro-abortion socialists.

The church charities are the main refugee resettlement organizations, so I doubt they will be shut down. We’ve already seen the order on the totum pole after Orlando.

States Rights would be an improvement and if he would start appointing judges who understood the plain language of the first amendment it would be a welcome relief that would reverberate for decades.

Since he thinks that the Johnson act should be repealed I think he would be open to it.
