Health Care: President Obama once told the country that ObamaCare was a "great product." When open enrollment for ObamaCare begins on Nov. 1, millions of Americans will discover just how big a lie this was.
Although the mainstream press has largely ignored it during this election in favor of wall-to-wall coverage of Donald Trump's alleged misdeeds, ObamaCare is absolutely coming unglued.
When the exchanges open for business in two weeks, people looking for insurance there will find far fewer choices, sky-high premiums and lower-quality plans.
A recent analysis by Bloomberg found that because insurance companies have bailed out of so many ObamaCare markets, more than 1.4 million people will be forced to switch plans during open enrollment. In most cases, that will mean finding new doctors and other providers as well.
Millions will find only one insurance company participating in their area. Oklahoma, Alaska, Wyoming, Alabama and South Carolina will have one ObamaCare insurer statewide, and so will most counties in Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina. Before ObamaCare, 17 insurers competed for business in Kansas. When the exchanges open up in November, most will have a choice of two.

Men threatened violence against associates in $100M military health care fraud, feds say
Prosecutors say the two men threatened to hurt snitches and if caught planned to flee to Costa Rica. One of the pair claimed that former Special Forces soldiers would make turncoats “disappear,” the government says in court filings.
The North Texas men are not gangsters or suspects in a murder conspiracy. Instead, John Paul Cooper and Richard Cesario are accused of running a white-collar fraud: scamming the military’s health insurance program.
Health care fraud has become big business in North Texas, experts say. In this case, millions of dollars that could have gone toward health care for members of the military and their families was wasted due to greed, authorities said.
Cooper, 47, of Southlake, and Cesario, 49, of Plano are accused in federal court of using threats and intimidation to run a $100 million fraud scheme in which they got the military to pay for expensive and unneeded compound medications for soldiers. They split the proceeds with the pharmacies and doctors, according to an updated indictment unsealed Friday.

Obama slashed the FSA on health accounts from $5K to $2.5K, hurting a lot of families with chronic health issues. I still seethe with anger over this (and taxing medical devices).
Doing nothing was vastly superior to what the Dims did! It seems that the rule is that when the government does something about a “problem” they only make it a lot worse than it was. Quite often the problem is mostly imaginary until they get a chance to fix it and then we have a real problem. Obamacare is a classic example of what I mean.
Don’t forget that he also said that some employers would see a “2800 per cent decrease” in their health insurance costs which, “Means they could give you a raise.” The average American mind is so muddled now that very few seemed to even take note that the statement is MATHEMATICAL NONSENSE. There was a time when such a statement from an American president would have had the world wondering if he had lost his mind.
I strongly disagree.
Our healthcare system needs a (big) overhaul.

Yes, it needs a big overhaul consisting of getting the government out of it! Doing nothing would have been vastly better than what was done but something should have been done and that something is to turn it over to people who know what they are doing and let them do it. Unfortunately the chance of that happening is about the same as the chance that the Sphinx wil rise up out of the sand and walk to Paris. There is very little wrong with healthcare that is NOT a direct result of government interference.
All the docs in the small practice decided to sell the practice to a major chain, because they could not deal with the computerization requirements and the regulations.
Then later they all retired.
