"For of all sad words of tongue and pen, The saddest are these: 'It might have been.'" John Greenleaf Whittier wrote those words 160 years ago,..... ....Four years ago, I watched our country miss a tremendous opportunity to vastly improve our national well-being when we re-elected President Barack Obama and shunned Mitt Romney. Mike Kelly - "To this day, I believe the United States suffered on every measurable level -- economically, societally and internationally -- because of that decision, and I suspect many of my fellow Americans retrospectively agree.".... "And, yes, Mr. Trump's secretly recorded comments remain unacceptable. But I care far more about actions and products than words, and in government the most important product is policy." "Alexander Hamilton told us, "Energy in the Executive is a leading character in the definition of good government" and that "[a] feeble Executive implies a feeble execution of the government." "Donald Trump is not feeble, nor without immense energy. And when it comes to what actually matters -- policy -- he will use his energy to empower those outside of Washington, not in it."

The real story is that this is on Clinton News Network.
Rep. Mike Kelly, Republican. Still surprised that CNN has allowed him to air his opinion, in favor of Trump. Had he been against Trump I of course would have no trouble understanding why CNN gave him a platform.
I didn’t know CNN did editorials ... do they have a token smart person?
My eyes just crossed.
That’s what I thought. Wonder what the deal is.
Four years ago our country re-elected Barack Obama. To this day, I believe the United States suffered on every measurable level -- economically, societally and internationally -- because of that decision.

These panty waists cannot let it go. It is like those words, which have been spoken by men since time began, caused the earth to shake and destroyed the dinosaurs.
Get over it.
But, it was quite acceptable for these congress clowns to forgive Billy Boy for his indiscretions in the Oval Office and ruining countless women's lives.
Sheesh!!!
Kinda like the fact that this one is appearing in the WSJ:

been spoken by men since time began
Like my husband told me men speak like this to each other about women.
He had to explain this to me because, and I know my Freeps already know this, men and women are worlds apart.
We are different!! Its OK>>>>>>/s
BUT by God’s wonderful design, when the two work together for the common good, only goodness can come of it.
I already posted that an hour ago here. Maybe one or both should go to breaking News?
Hypocrisy is necessary to everything the Establishment of both parties does.
I am an ordained minister who has led a boringly conservative life (not without sin, of course, but without anything remotely akin to what these congress clowns pull on a daily basis) - and I am not in the least surprised or disgusted by what Trump did.
What should we expect from a powerful, worldly male? He has actually been more consistently upright than Kennedy, Clinton, Bush (yeah, Dubya, the good ol’ boy), and most of the other so-called great men.
In this fallen world, I would rather see a man honestly divorced than a man who maintains the utter facade of a faithful marriage for purely political reasons while indulging in every form of marital betrayal possible.
I saw and heard worse conduct from young men in the youth group I mentored in a supposedly conservative congregation than what Donald Trump did and said.
As a Christian and, later, a minister, I have never spoken or acted like this.
If you think I am now going to condemn Donald Trump, hold that thought in abeyance.
The reward for my moral conduct was to be rejected by women as a desirable suitor, and to be denounced by men as an unvirile male. Significantly, the same females who valued me as a friend and mentor refused to date me; they chose to date - and marry - the Bad Boys of the milieu in which we all lived. (Nota bene: I am speaking of professing Christians.)
Very few men are willing to be ostracized for behaving in a truly Christian manner: Men want to be desired by the opposite sex, and to be respected by their own.
The reality is that all are fallen - women just as much as men - and their choices and actions reflect that.
As a minister, I was privy to cases of rape outside of marriage, and abuse within marriage. My attempts to address these things in a Biblical manner in two different congregations essentially cost me my ministry. I accept that burden - and I would do it all again.
The truth is that, for a lifelong worldly millionaire (now billionaire), Donald Trump, someone constantly exposed to every temptation and capable of indulging them all, he, the honestly divorced teetotaler, the successful free-market entrepreneur, has lived a rather sensible and circumspect life compared to the supposedly Christian past presidents like Kennedy, Clinton, and Bush (yeah, Dubya): men who spent at least their youth indulging themselves with sex and - in most cases - drugs.
I personally am convinced that Bush led a decadent life in his youth, and never truly repented of it in a Christian manner, but merely settled down, which is not repentance.
I consider it an unfortunate sign of the decline of America that each of the last three sitting presidents apparently have used (and may still use) cocaine. It is not only a crime, but it alters, perhaps permanently, brain chemistry. (I consider Soetoro, in particular, not only evil, but insane.)
All this outrage against Trump the Teetotaler is as phony as a three dollar bill.
As a man who has never been drunk, has never used illicit drugs, and has never committed fornication, I am not in the least shocked by what Trump did.
I have seen and heard far worse from some so-called Christians I have personally known.
I have zero hesitation in voting for Trump.
Thank you YogicCowboy. Thank you for your thoughtful note!
Have good weekend.
My husband is like you.
We met 25 years ago and married.
