AGAIN, TO OUR VERY FOOLISH LEADER, DO NOT ATTACK SYRIA - IF YOU DO MANY VERY BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN & FROM THAT FIGHT THE U.S. GETS NOTHING!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 5, 2013
(Excerpt) Read more at twitter.com ...
I’ll give Trump credit. He’s got balls the size of Montana
Trumptadamus is at it again.
We are living in an Alice in Wonderland world. Obama/Kerry & Clinton are pushing towards an open conflict with Russia - over what? An internecin conflict between different shades of radical Islamists (Sunnis and Shiites) in Syria.
And yet it is Donald Trump who is considered to be the loose cannon when it comes to foreign policy!
Go figure!
Trump has been singing the Peace Through Strength mantra since he got into the race. That’s why Lyndsey Graham, McCain, and the rest of the democrats seethe at him.
Actually they want Assad out period.......their entire agenda was that in the beginning, their reasons for sending weapons etc...and arming anyone who would do that for them.
Every peace agreement struck by the warring factions there were broken by Obama/Kerry/Hillary pulling out if it did not include Assads departure. ...........(we can name that tune in one note.)..though compromises were struck by those who have to live there when it’s all said and done.
We are the ones who keep this battle going...no other. And that because control of Syria by US agreed on government has to be in place in the Globalist Agenda.
Yes, pipeline through Syria and all that.
But as was pointed out in a thread yesterday I think, while the US has got themselves involved in the messy business of Syria, Turkey has been lost and is now making deals with Russia.
See this link and this post especially:

Yep. Turkey is lost (if you are going to support a coup, make sure it works). China and Russia are buddying up. Russia is taking the lead with the Israelis, and talking openly about putting military bases in our hemisphere. China is taking over the South China Sea. We lost the Philippines. Hungary, Poland and the former eastern block countries don’t trust us. Neither do the the Saudis or Gulf States. Europe slaps outrageous taxes on our companies. The Brits despise Obama. Etc Etc.
The only ones happy are Kim Jong Un and the Castros. And even the Castros spit in Obama’s face.
No wonder the rest of the world don’t want a President Trump.
Things are going swimmingly.
“We lost the Philippines. Hungary, Poland and the former eastern block countries dont trust us. Neither do the the Saudis or Gulf States.”
If I was them, I wouldn’t trust us either. No matter who the president is. America is a very Unreliable ally, and Obama has demonstrated that we are an impotent enemy. There is simply no consequence to spitting in our faces and sawing americans heads off on youtube videos.
One decade you can have a strong president and then the next decade the bunch of idiots will vote in another carter, or a hard on sporting Obama. Bowing to our enemies obsequiously begging for a ‘deal’ to cement his legacy. Then Shooting our allies in the head and turn them over to the muslims for execution. Meanwhile the Russians and Chinese are reliable, steady and supportive of their client states that are disciplined and gratefully spit in American faces.
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy. “
~Defensive leftists seek to distract from the Truth of this statement. Instead they focus on the attribution error. This indicates to me that they KNOW this to be true. They know that we’re close to the bottom and want their slice of the pie when it gets divided up. So apparently it is Not De Tocqueville. But it’s a damn good pull quote anyway.
Russia is saying there are 9,000 ISIS/Al-Qaeda troops trapped in Mosul, Syria.
The Administration wants to provide air cover and an escape route out for them ans to head for Russia.
Syria has invited Russia, and Russia now has a no fly zone over Syria.
Russia has said if we strike, then they will strike back.
This is very dangerous and could lead to World War III
The British are now saying they have a 1000 troops there to fight ISIS and want the U.S to protect them.
This is so crazy and dumb. I can’t believe our leaders are this stupid.
A war with Russia will certainly go nuclear.
The Donald had it figured out correctly over three years ago!
His intellect towers over that of the USG.
bttt
On that date, the US was actively debating how the US would respond to Assad's use of chemical weapons. That was a very contentious issue
At that time, Obama had already said that Congress would have to authorize the use of force to "punish" Assad for gassing the innocent.
The issue was ultimately resolved by an agreement between Russia and the US(Sept 10, 2013) that Assad would turn over his chem weapons(which he did) and the US would incinerate them at sea.
So this statement by Trump deals only with how the US would react to Assad using chemical weapons.
The decision to arm the Syrian rebels(with Tow anti-tank weapons) was made by Congress on May 21, 2013. If Trump had been opposed to arming the rebels, he would have said so in May or June of 2013.
Or, if Trump was opposed to how the US would respond to ISIS, he would have said so in Aug 2014 when Congress passed legislation.
Good argument, except he was telling the US to stay out months & years before

http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2011/04/01/donald-trump-criticizes-obamas-foreign-policy
In the first article(Newsmax) his position was no different from the general public. His position was no different from Obama's position at that time, opposed to intervening.
If you had to pick or chose, you could say his position was closest to Rand Paul's position.
Objectively, I have to give Trump some credit for being generally opposed to the NeoCons' influence on foreign policy. This is why the NeoCons have led the charge against Trump being president.
I wonder what Donald Trump thinks of Donald Trump’s actions?
Now that he's the President, he prolly thinks "that was then, this is now" and stuff...
