Norwegian Justice Minister Anders Anundsen said on Thursday that the EU must allow Norway to continue with its temporary border controls for as long as the nation deems them necessary.
When the ministers of justice of the EU and the four EFTA countries meet in Luxembourg on Thursday, Anundsen will ask for the green light to keep Norways controls in place.
I think its important that we have the opportunity to continue with internal border controls as long as we believe it is necessary, Anundsen said.
Norway is one of five Schengen countries that have introduced border controls in the wake of the refugee crisis.
Hard to believe it’s gotten to the point where a country has to justify border controls.
The Schengen Agreement is something that’s straight out of the Communist Manifesto, which declares in its second chapter that Marxists “desir(e) to abolish countries and nationality”.
Why ask?
If the EU Parliament objects just Brexit.
I seriously doubt that after Britain voted to leave that the EU is going to raise a fuss.
If one more country decides to leave the dam will break and the EU is history.
The EU is being held together with chewing gum and chicken wire.
The EU parliament is just a rubber stamp. The real problem is with the Commission, who both writes and passes laws.
And Norway isn’t even a full member of the EU with the minimal “voting rights” that a member state avails of. It’s a member of the European Economic Area, which means they have to obey EU laws without even having a say; and on top of that they went into the Schengen Agreement, which stipulates no border controls and is 84 pages long.
